So you ask me for a few games, then tell me there were 5-10 which you can remember. It’s known as an opinion. I remember thinking he struggled in a 4 defensively but looked good in a 5 as a lcb or lwb I simply can’t remember who we played. As I say, just my opinion. Why the third degree about it?
OK thats it. If I see one more link on here saying he is our dream signing I am going to start my own twitter thing and put out some bollocks about PSG making an approach for Jack Diamond as he is their dream signing.
I said he was slow at times and naive, that’s hardly saying he was ****e is it? I only say that because I can remember him being subbed a few times and looking knackered. He was playing in a defence with Flanagan, Doyle and Winchester - if he managed to look ****e in that defence then I’d be the first to say. No third degree gurns here mate, just got bored last season of listening to the same fans who have their head so far up our academy lads arses when they’re playing crap and can’t have a bad word said about them yet slate other players who are playing alright - Evans was another.
Graham Potter lifts lid on Jan Paul van Hecke dilemma amid Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers links The 22-year-old Brighton centre-back was left out of the squad that played against West Ham on Sunday, amid interest from Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers Graham Potter says it is a "balancing" act on deciding what to do with Jan Paul van Hecke amid interest from Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers. The Dutchman signed for Albion in the summer of 2020 from NAC Breda but still awaits his club debut. Two successful loan spells at SC Heerenveen in the Eredivisie and Championship side Blackburn Rovers followed but the 22-year-old is still on the fringes of the Seagulls' first-team. He was included in both matchday squads for the win at Manchester United and the draw with Newcastle United but was left out of the group that played against West Ham on Sunday. Reports claim the centre-back is set to join Sunderland on loan, despite Rovers' efforts to bring him back to Ewood Park. When asked about weighing up whether it was best for him to stay and learn from Brighton's top stars and play a smattering of games, or to potentially play regularly in the Championship, he told Sussex Live on Tuesday: "That is essentially the balancing act, yes. Ultimately that is the decision we have to make. "It is influenced a little bit by the player and the player's career. At the same time we need to go, 'Okay, what are the chances of him playing regularly with us and taking those steps that we need him to take?' If he has got a really good option to go and play that is also beneficial for him and to us in the medium-long term, so that is the decision." Along with van Hecke, Potter was also asked about what the plans are for Florin Andone and Kacper Kozlowski. Andone has not played for Brighton since the summer of 2019 and Kozlowski has been linked with a loan move as he is on the fringes of the Albion squad and has played for the under-21s this season. When asked if the club was looking at the best option for the trio, Potter replied: "Yeah, exactly. There's a long time to go but not that long as well. When the window is open it is a long time. It's about finding the right solution for everybody in terms of whether there is a good loan option, whether they stay with us, we can still take those decisions as we go. It is all in the mix." Yeah it’s strange This year we’ve kept our cards close to our chest And no leaks That’s what’s worrying me about all these rumours
Well I suppose rumours of decent players coming here are better than ones of crap players! I’m sure we’ll be in a very good position come the end of the window mate
2 summers ago we were signing Graham and O’Brien man might be getting ahead of myself but it’s been some turnaround under KLD
Fabrizio Romano is probably the most accurate sports reporter for transfers recently and L'Equipe generally tend to be pretty accurate so if they're both saying it then it's pretty likely there is something to it
I'm just waiting to see what happens on these. Not getting excited. With Blackburn entering the equation (where he was last season) for van Hecke and Potter not even sure if he even wants to let him go I think odds are drifting on that one. Fingers crossed though. The Costa Rican kid looks nailed on PSG youngun is a bit of a random one as well. Now it's broken in the press I expect others to swoop in on that one. Story has been leaked by someone for a reason. Good to see we have widened our horizons though, Stuart the recruitment fella must have paid for the South American and Europe add ons for his laptop.
Never said he was ****e. Said he was poor in my opinion. Also used the term “I thought” . Massive difference. Struggled and looked poor defensively in a 4. If you think I was one if those mentioned in your second paragraph, you’ve clearly not read anything I’ve ever said and jumped to a conclusion. I’m one of the most optimistic on here. Always look for good things even in poor games
Good point the young French lad. It does seem a bit of an odd one. I accept what people are saying about his reputation being very good. It sounds like he is an attacking playmaker so wouldnt he be up against Pritchard? Bottom line is he has played a handful of games in the french top division, for a side that probably dominates possession. Whether that translates to coming into the championship and making a big impact I dont know. I am all for giving youth a chance, I just wonder if we are being played here, like you say. The term 'dream signing' makes me think there is a rabbit away somewhere...
From Wiki... On 6 July 2022, a meeting was scheduled at the Camp des Loges between Michut and Luís Campos, PSG's new Football Advisor, to discuss the player's future at the club. However, Michut did not show up to the meeting.[15] He had not been named in the club's squad for the start of pre-season on 4 July, and had instead been placed in a separate session for youth players starting on 12 July. A new meeting between Michut and Campos occurred on 7 July, in which Campos gave Michut a warning due to his behavior. Before the end of the meeting, Michut was made to sign a paper acting as a call to order.[16]
