Thought he got his selection wrong in the first two games as well. Nunez should have started against Fulham, Firmino against Palace. Neither we suited to the games they started and in turn Nunez wouldn't be suspended for this.
Maybe not for the last year, but these cracks have been there for a long time. We whimpered over the line the finals we won. We were also fairly fortunate with injuries to key players last season as well and the CL was an absolute wash. We dicked United because we always show up, regardless of personel, and fight. We were all over them from the whistle last season and didn't give them a minute. That's what's making tonight so unbearable; I don't see much fight in this team at all and that's probably the number one thing I would bet on a Klopp team having.
The more depressing thing for me is how little Diaz has been involved in dangerous areas in all 3 games, apart from his goal vs Palace. A stark contrast to the back end of last season.
