Surely he already was? He made his league debut under Adkins in 2018, and played in the cup a year before that. Both were long before Wilks was here.
You would have thought, that with the feel good factor going on, 'proper players' at the club to make him look better, that he'd have been desperate to try and make it here. Not to mention likely bonuses for top 6's or even promotion. Simple fact is, he couldn't care less. I suspect 90% of city fans would have driven him to Hillsborough...he knew his level... perhaps it was the daw of playing in front of 80k every week...
His goals were a massive contribution to us winning our first league championship in my lifetime. Good luck to him.
My vision of Wilks in the championship last time was of a pretty quick athletic but over built winger with little composure always rushing shots , but for some reason his athletic running disappeared and he just looked lethargic and heavier for the last 18 months - but his finishing improved ! Maybe the Wendies will get the best mix !!! If they plus ……. Oh no
Wish we were getting the crowds in the Championship they are getting in League One. And their tickets are a lot more expensive than ours.
Intriguing one. Got 4 assists in 19 for their u23s last year which is pretty impressive No doubt we'll be wanting the option to buy
This one might have to be a straight permanent. He's only got a year left and doesn't seem to want to sign a new deal. I mean he's 21 and nowhere near the first team, it's understandable
