At the moment there are two non-league teams infront of us, please vote we've got to win something this season http://www.pafc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10364~2500492,00.html
Done. if we can just get latches on the cubicles that actually keep the door closed it would be a start. Also we have now pipped Ebsfleet! So far...
i suspect a defender would make more sense than bog renovations. at present argyle are getting pissed on by everyone. our aim is to keep this place clean. your aim will help. give ridsdale a mop and bucket, he is bound to be useful somwhere. good luck at morecambe. the gas won away there, who knows
Something dodgy going on here.............two little clubs churning out votes as if they are automatically linked to a telephone exchange.........they have more votes than fans. Argyle.......924 Barrow.....1424 Ebsfleet....1547............the old Gravesend & Northfleet.
Myself and my son tried to vote on this site but the confirmation emails never arrived, not even in my spam folder hence my votes won't count.
That happened to me.........but I tried voting again and it wouldn't accept my vote suggesting that I had already voted........
We are now around 700 behind one and 400 behind the other. Do you think either of the clubs invovled have ever seen that number at their ground? I think somebody is just posting and posting on their vote which sort of makes the contest a bit pointless doesn't it. Why would you want to spend £100k on bogs at a non league ground anyway. That's enough to provide one loo for each of their supporters with a personalised plaque on the door.
Sheffield United has got it's first vote.......what the hell is that all about.........with the crowds they get they should out vote non-league clubs with ease.
I've been reading on another Gills fan only site and there is a thread on there, where the Gills fans are all voting to help Ebbsfleet...as for the dodgy goings on Shh!
ps. has anyone bothered to read the terms and conditions of this competition... TIMING: This competition runs from 12.00:01am GMT 1st August 2011. The closing date for nominations is 11.59:59pm GMT on 25th September 2011.
Thats the closing date for the nominations, which are now closed. The clubs listed to vote for have made the shortlist and votes are now ongoing. Don't know the closing date but it does look like the two non-league teams have ingeniously found some "floating" voters. I've managed to vote 3 times with my personal and work e-mail addresses and the missus has voted, so it's not entirely fair but good luck to anyone who finds a way of manipulating the system to help their club.
Voting now suspended due to "irregular" voting patterns! You don't say. Ebbsfleet have more votes than their biggest attendance this year.
I think to be fair Jock that if you could only vote (as a supporter) for your nominated team then Sheffield United or us would have won hands down as we have the most supporters. As brb says, other clubs will vote, rightly, for the teams nearest them that were nominated. Although no-one should vote for Exeter! LOL.
Very strange what is happening..........I live 15 miles from Ebbsfleet FC.........I'm expecting someone to knock on the door at any moment to ask me to vote for them.............thank goodness Barrow is the other end of the country.
I live a mile from Stonebridge Road ('Fleets ground). It's a strange club really. You may recall that they are owned by the fans. A group called 'MyFootballClub' (or something like that) was set up a couple of years ago where, if you paid £30 for 12 months 'membership', you got to have a say in the general running of the club - bar picking the team.. On it's inception there was over 30,000 members worldwide (the majority are outside the UK I believe) and, even though those numbers have declined over the last couple of years, it's my guess this is where all the votes are coming from. There is this one guy, an Italian from Milan, who was featured in the local rag the other week because, since joining 'My FootballClub' he jettisoned his lifelong alliegiances to AC Milan and decided to start following the Mighty Ebbsfleet and he has yet to miss a home game!! "This is a proper football club", he was quoted as saying!! So, it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of those votes have come from Northern Italy.
