A game we should have won but for poor finishing, and no, starting Armstrong as a number 9 isn't the answer.

Yup. Armstrong is so raw and his finishing has a long way to go, I'd have probably thrown him on at the hour mark.

We had what looked like two decent penalty shouts today as well.

I hope this is making them seriously think about getting another striker in.

TBF. He must have been in a lot of pain at the time with that thing sticking up his backside. And he must have just grimaced and blinked at the precise moment. Perfect line of sight and he missed that? I hope that's going in the post match report on his performance.

Chance after chance goes begging again today, no composure in front of goal, they didn’t do too much apart from the goal, so frustrating to watch us lately

Can't fault the effort today, all worked hard.I thought Chair really put a shift in.
    Should have won it!
The lack of quality up top will mean another season scraping around the bottom half unless we get a half decent striker in,which will be difficult as we have no money..looks like Dykes will be there all season I'm afraid so fingers crossed he comes good.

Unfortunately, I don't think Dykes is good enough to "come good".

At least we're creating chances I suppose.

We had one in Austin and that's proving to be a mistake letting him go. He would have had at least two goals today if the Dykes chances had fallen to him.

Remind me, many goals did Austin poach last season?*

    * 5 in 34 league appearances. Looked it up. He’s well past it.

Yep, Grabban. Would seem like a no brainer for a season long deal , turned down a move to another club 2 days ago. Sadly our board are short on realising without a proper goalscorer we're ****ed. I don't buy the loan bollox being put out by them either, how did we manage to get Wells and Hugill on loan at the same time or Austin and Gray last season ? We've taken 10 off our books plus loans out and 810k for De Wijs, don't tell me we can't get in a proper striker on loan ffs. Dykes is always gonna be **** as a goalscorer and Bonne is League 1 standard. Armstrong is exciting but needs time but there aren't any other options. Farcical situation to be in. Again !!

Wow, from what l’m reading, can’t believe how many chances have gone begging over the past couple of weeks.

It would seem that letting Charlie Austin go, has costs the team more, again. Even if his knees were shot, 15 minutes at the end each week may have gotten us favourable results.

No team can afford to let a single chance go by but apparently, we can.

Can only hope the club can address it.
    Surely MB deserves some backing.

I said he should be starting infront of the Scottish twat, not that he didn't need time. Of course he does ffs, but with only Mcduff and Bonne as options I'd be tempted to start you infront of them ! We need a proper scorer and have done for a very long time. It's pathetic we haven't brought 1 in even on loan. Beale must be raging underneath

He's plainly not ready to start. Dykes, as limited as he may be, is definitely a better player right now, which is why Beale is starting him. We lack a natural finisher, but they're not easy to find on a tight budget. I'd have Wells back to play off Dykes.
