Off Topic NETFLIX and Box Set series Thread.

This may be not universally accepted but I wasn’t a fan of the Elvis film ( we are all entitled to our opinions apparently) god he was a thick ****er, if he couldn’t see just what that Parker was he must be ****ing blind… I’m still singing the songs mind so some of it stuck. As to that enola Holmes… did not like it from start to finish, terrible acting and who the **** wrote the dialogue, absolute ****e. It’s the modern way now to include every ****er…

 

Why do I keep watching these on you tube? You know what the outcome is going to be. Take a Hummingbird sonar and a Garmin sonar, crawl your inflatable boat along a waterway. Find what you are searching for, inform the police, watch the haul out. Take some shots of the grieving families. Is it tragic viewing and empathizing or secret entertainment at the cost of the dead and their relatives?

Prey (Hulu) is a film rather than a series but it is very good.

Prey is a 2022 American science fictionaction film based on the Predator franchise. It is the fifth installment in the franchise and is a prequel to the first four films, being set in the Northern Great Plains in North America in 1719. The film is directed by Dan Trachtenberg and written by Patrick Aison. It stars Amber Midthunder, Dakota Beavers, Michelle Thrush, Stormee Kipp, Julian Black Antelope, Bennett Taylor, and Dane DiLiegro. The story revolves around Naru, a skilled Comanche warrior, who is striving to prove herself as a hunter. She finds herself having to protect her people from a vicious, humanoid alien that hunts humans for sport, as well as from French fur traders who are attacking her people and destroying the Buffalo they rely on for survival.

As the father of teenage girls, painfully aware of the woeful lack of strong female role models I (and they) loved it. It’s also quite a good laugh, and demonstrates Millie Bobby Brown’s acting clout, though coupled with a bit of slightly irritating precociousness that you don’t really see in Stranger Things.

A lot of po-faced tosspots complained that it wasn’t true to the Sherlock Holmes canon as he never had a younger sister, and the characterisation of him and Mycroft’s not quite right in it, but frankly they can get ****ed. It’s 2022 for God’s sake and MBB and Helena Bonham Carter both kicked ass.

 

Yeah, good film.

Unassuming hard-man type. Someone ****s with him, he kicks bottom. I like that type of movie.

I decided to watch it last night and it was enjoyable.

 

Funnily enough, so did I!

 

just watching it now but had to break off a third in. the bus scene was funny.

 

should be everybody by what ive seen of it so far.

 

It came free with my existing Sky subscription. Only watched Star Trek Strange New Worlds thus far. One of the better entries in the Star Trek franchise.

There didn't look to be too much of interest so probably wouldn't sign up if I had to pay extra for it.

 

I've got seven days free trial so i'll see how it goes.

New Game of Thrones prequel started last night on Sky Atlanta - House of Dragons.

Released weekly.

 

I've added it ro my auto download list and will prob start watching it in a few weeks.
