We've promoted a lot of marginal u18s to u21s this season and loaned a lot more lads out. The conversion form u23s to u21s means we are in effect treating the reserves as a quasi u19s tyre of structure. this 6-2 is won without actually seeing some players who still qualify for the games. the U21s drew 1-1 with brighton yesterday. Chambers, Quansah and mayaba played in defence. Blair, Cannonier were subbed on. (could both play u18s.) Musialowski played for example. theres still 3 or 4 to go on loan imo as well. the point being we won't expect to see the likes of chambers or mayaba near our bench for first team BUT Bajceitc will be. a little hint that tsimikas will be fit there.
It's funny listening to oldies music from the 60's how so many would be inappropriate today. Ricky Nelson's "travelling man" ouch... So many ethnic stereotypes. . Also so many songs with "little girl" phrases used that would be taken the wrong way today... The pacemakers "girl on a swing" would definitely be taken out of context... And so many songs sound borderline stalkerish in 21st century. Lou Christie... With every step that you take, everywhere that you look Just look and you'll find I'll be waiting in line, I'll be waiting in line I'm gonna make you mine Baby, I'm gonna make you mine Make you mine, I'm gonna make you mine Baby, I'm gonna make you mine, I'm gonna make you mine I'll be a hard-lovin', pushin' kind of individual Knockin' night and day at your door. ... There again hard to imagine that song not sounding stalkerish even in the 60's. Makes me wonder what modern day pop culture will sound bad or offensive to some in another 30 years. I'm predicting:. "Baby or Babe" will be considered demeaning as will any reference to men being protective or comparing people to food....
Try listening to Good Morning Little Schoolgirl by Ten Years After, the live version. Must have been very iffy when released!
I don't know if I've ever heard that one. Will put it on for my commute home this evening. Title alone alone sounds like probably problematic.
Yeah... "Ball you all night long"... Surely that only means one thing. There's no innocent meaning to that.
