Getting rid of Washington looks worse by the day, especially since they got rid before appointing a manager, who may well have wanted to keep him for his high press style of play.

There was a reason thy got rid of Washington and it had nothing to do with his ability on the field.

I've heard rumours about that, but have taken it with a pinch of salt, since he seemed a smashing lad to me, however if you are absolutely sure I'll take your word for it.

Washington is a high pressing forward who runs the channels well. The sort of player that works in any system surely?

He could have just left for better football and better money. But he needs replacing.

We'll have to offload one or two midfielders, especially if Henry forces his way into contention. Gilbey looks first choice for the exit door.

Why would a loan move be good for us? I doubt his wages are that high.

Anybody who's anybody seems shocked and stunned by this news, especially the manner of it.

    Can't say it bothers me.

Olly Groome did a great job for Roland, king of the cut-backs. I might even say it's poetic justice.

it's always a shame to see someone lose their job, especially given current times (and he's young, starting out etc). but he did seem to be part of a "in" brigade that liked to keep things going on at the club to between a select few.

it may be a good thing in the long run that the club is run as a efficient business, rather than a local team that likes hiring locals.

hope he finds something else soon.

Agreed. Happy to wish him well for the future.
But I'm not outraged that he has been laid off, or angry with Sandgaard because of it.
