If we sell off any more of our crown jewels as is gossiped then we are in deep doodoo. Having to have a clearance sale to top up the bank balance that was quite healthy just a couple of years ago only goes to show how mismanagement has destroyed our club from within and taken all chances of redemption away. Where will we be without Weimann, Semenyo,Bentley and Scott if we are struggling badly with them? Are the people at the top expecting us to progress with a clear out first followed by bringing in new blood or even worse letting the youngsters give it a go? Every season we go through some crisis or another and I am starting to get sick of the rhetoric and promises made because right now we are in a position where things could get a lot worse very quickly. Isn't it about time our chairman stepped up and said something other than he wants to sell as he doesn't seem as if he is in any mood to put out the fires burning within his self created sports empire.

It could be a good watch later today to feel the mood down in BS3 and only a win will dampen the despair in my far away books. Sol Bamba - you must be kidding.

It doesn't 'fix' the result if we'd lost, but there is a right of appeal and sometimes red cards get cancelled. If he feels that strongly then he should launch an appeal. LJ appealed the shocking refereeing in our Villa game a few years back and received an official apology - like I said it doesn't fix the result - we lost that game where we should have won it - Weimann had a perfectly good goal disallowed and they had a penalty that it was agreed afterwards should not have been given.
I saw the highlights of last night's Luton game (on the TV in my bedroom) and it looked like a bad tackle to be fair - it looked like there had been a bit of provocation beforehand and he lashed out - no excuses - he shouldn't have given the ref a decision to make.

You obviously haven't read the article. He's not on about Sykes. He accepts that, but there was, apparently, an incident shortly afterwards where Atkinson was fouled. NP believes the Luton player involved in that should have gone, not just a yellow card.

Fair enough - I admit I didn't read the article - only Wiz/s post - and jumped to conclusions.
However, my comment still stands - there is an appeal process - look at what happened to Diedhiou - he received a retrospective ban after allegations of spitting. It happens.

It seems his point is it isn’t a one off, it’s game after game. On a positive note they admitted the mistakes, now they need to make sure they don’t keep being made.

    Interesting stat ~
    v Sunderland.......Gate - 24543
    v Luton................Gate - 17329
A crowd reduction of 7214, over 30% down. Tuesday night, rainfall, inflation, Boris, still a big drop.

Notwithstanding Sunderland brought quite a few fans, the City players had the chance to play to a full house in the first home game of the season, against a newly promoted and unfancied team, and predictably they blew it big time.
The floating City supporters that went to the Sunderland game expecting a decent performance and a positive result therefore went home unhappy, and understandably they voted with their feet yesterday evening by staying away.

Once bitten twice shy and all that.

Which makes it even more of a shame that we do this repeatedly season in, season out.

There are literally thousands of extra City fans who would pay their money, swell the gate, eat and drink at home games, buy programmes and buy club merchandise, and make a lot of noise for even a half successful team.

All of our failings cost us big money.

Wasn't there an incentive for the Sunderland game (ST holders can bring a mate for £10 or something)?
Also, mid-week evening games I would expect not to be as popular

Their were lots of cheaper tickets for Sunderland as well, Mates rates etc, which shows the potential of lowering POTD prices, or at least one off prices for non season card holders.

It’s massive in my view l, as well as encouraging further season card sales to anyone who may be thinking of buying one but is unsure.

We wanted to go in last night but parking is the reason we stayed home.
Against Sunderland we walked for 25 minutes to AG, f**k that for a game of soldiers especially in that weather.
It's a mystery that when City played Liverpool in front of 38,000 there wasn't an issue with parking.
