    It’s alright boys
    I know what’s going on
We are playing possum - new tactic from Klopp
Give City a 25 point lead and watch them relax

    We won't get one there.

This will continue for a while. Same as last time.

People need to get their heads on the ****ing basics.

If we all listened to you this board would be as dead as the Man Utd board; we'd have all committed suicide!!!

tbf he's not supposed to. Its not what he was in the team to do.

Midfield can take the blame for not finding space to take the ball of him

Ok. Watched the Darwin red. What on earth was he thinking? That was a huge overreaction from Darwin to get a red. Who headbutts in response to a slight push? Now everyone in England is going to know he has a short fuse and bait him.

Hopefully that is not something we'll see more of. The Palace player fell like he had been shot though. Drama queen.

Well, not a great start to season.

    Didn’t watch the game.

sounds like at least we actually played well most of the game today unlike Fulham?

Phillips starting is a worry. What’s wrong with Gomez? No Matip, Konate. Gomez not fit or trusted?

Hendo on the bench? What’s going on there.

Stupid from Nunez. Sounds like he was causing problems just missed a few chances? Now got 3 games out when we already have Jota out

Klopp gonna have to do a lot of work to get things going again for United. They’ve been **** but we haven’t been that much better, especially in the first away game.

Yeah well, realism is always viewed harshly.

I got it in the neck pregame for daring to be real about the level shown thus far.

It wasn't as bad as it could have been tonight but it's still not right.

You have to earn the right to flounce about... not just ponce about looming flats and doing nothing.

We need hard running and players doing the basics.

It'd help if we got a shot or two on target mind.

What happened to the Man City performance? Energetic, pressing, attractive football. All gone

Just saw highlights. Not huge surprise that Phillips was all at 6s and 7s for the goal. Turn around about 4 times mid run as had no idea where Zaha was.

can’t blame him, he’s not good enough and shouldn’t be in this team. But it showed 2 years ago when he was in the team, we can’t just play the same high line tactics with him at the back.

not blaming him for the result, but klopp needs to realise the guy can’t defend a high line. He isn’t good enough or quick enough to do it. Walker is a **** defender and also can’t defend a high line positionally but he has pace to get him out of it. Phillips has none.

im shocked palace didn’t target that area more as massive clear weak spot down that side with TAA pushed further up as well

    Don't understand it.

Mlopp was talking about extendeding preseason and he's picking teams.like it.

I dont know its its injuries or them training too.hard or just being ****.

We need to focus on winning games not show boating.

Anyway I'm off to drop trent out of my ff team as he's a busted flush. Load up some.more spuds probably.

We could win 17-0 and you'd still moan about every player <laugh>

Totally this. We still play 2-5-3 when we have the ball, knowing that against a quick turnover and a good pass, only Virgil will be able to catch them. And it happened more than once too. We need to play 4-2-3-1 with Nat at the back, and we need to play deeper. In fact, I'd play 4-2-3-1 against United next week, with Fab and Hendo sitting, covering the full-back when they get forward (especially Trent).

Hoping the Clog Sparkers can do one of their Glazers Out/Jan 6th riots and get the game called off, to be rescheduled for October. :emoticon-0143-smirk

    See there's your first mistake

We could play 4231 so trent can play which position he feels whenever he likes.

It's just who goes and plays each postion he vacates to.stand about like gods gift.

Tierney should have dealt with Anderson well before the incident happened; he'd been goading him all match. He asked for it, but Nunez should have nutted him after the final whistle. That said, would we have equalised had he not gone off? I'm not sure. Our poor finishing is worrying me already

I hate the very high line we play these days and have done from the start mainly as there is so much space to play the ball into that it doesn't need to be a good ball and can be played almost blind .
