Hope Nige has plan A in place loose these four we are going down.

 

Bentley wouldn’t Bother me too much, I think he’s overrated, a very good reflex shot stopper, doesn’t command his box, flaps at crosses, distribution awful. If we could get decent money I’d sell, a big if though imo as I can’t see any big offers coming in for him personally.

 

Absolutely agree reminds me off Steve Philipp's the way he plays.

He slows the whole bloody game up with his distribution- i reckon we lose 7/8 minutes off play during the game.

 

I think Bentley is amongst the best keeper we've had at AG for years and he's pulled off some amazing saves to keep us in games - I'd like to know how many point's his saves have earned.
Nobody is perfect - he makes mistakes - but a GK only gets called into action when all other 10 players have failed to do their own jobs - and compared to all the others we've had since Basso he's by far the best (My opinion of course)

Funny isn’t it how we all see things differently, imo if he commanded his area better and didn’t flap at crosses he wouldn’t need to pull off half of the saves he does . Ditto his awful distribution. Imo the defence in general would be better if he commanded his area better.
On a slightly different note part of the reason we concede late goals imo is our defence drops too deep, as goalkeeper & captain Bents should be organising the defence to prevent this.

 

Absolutely 100% with you on this - unless it's NP telling them how to close games out(?)
I admit I haven't seen us play this season so far, but looking at the various reports and following the games on BBC it seems like we try and sit back deep on a 1 goal lead - particularly in the closing stages of games. We've been undone SO MANY times in this period of the game since NP took over, that it suggests to me that it's an NP tactic to invite the opposition to throw players forward at the end of games - maybe in the hope of hitting them on the break(?) Who knows - but it DOESN'T WORK!!!!!.
