When all the deals they’re closing in on are announced and done, Forest will be one behind the record for signings for a premiership team. 17 new faces so far and more expected.
But you can’t put that many new players in and expect them to gel. It takes time. How did they get on?
Their owner was the richest owner in the Championship last year, worth about £500 million to £600 million.Maybe he is speculating to accumulate. I don’t thinkmForest fans will be objecting too strongly.
It’s a crazy number of incomings. There has been 2 more today to add to that list that looks like they’re going to happen which will equal them with the record of Palace summer 2013.
Yeah. I noticed Cardiff have signed a lot this summer too. I think they had to shift a lot of dead weight and rebuild.
And this was my comment about if we had somehow gone up last season and it being 'too soon'. We would have had to do similar to build a competitive side, and it would have been one with no chemistry.
Definitely agree with this, problem I have is, if Oscar continues from this now, no way he’s still here at the end of the season. Fortunately we are doing good recruitment for the future too
I guess the positive there is if Oscar were to go end of this season we'd get a good fee for him (having signed him on a free), so all of a sudden if we're generating income from our player sales we can aim even higher with our transfer targets and start becoming 'sustainable' to an extent that way. I'm really curious to see Sinik, when's he due back?
Fulham's managed to hang on to Mitrovic and he's started well in the PL too. If Oscar does become a goal scoring machine it's a nice problem to have.
Don’t know how I wrote that instead of one of the richest owners considering I had just read his name in an article that was about their being 4 owners of Championship clubs wealthier than nearly all PL owners.
Just read one that has, based on last season Fulham 1st, Stoke 2nd, Coventry 3rd, WBA 4th and so on. Has us 23rd… although don’t think other owners have Acun’s wealth in marketability.
