A mate of mine works in a casino and our owners were there yesterday telling people they want Keane and to put money on him.

Why would the owners be telling everyone at a casino that they want so and so to be their next manager.

As if you fell for it, Harborough :'(

I hope he followed that basic gambling rule of only betting what you can afford to lose

Well anyway say Roy Keane was the new man i hope he would of learned from his mistakes at Ipswich. He just tried to buy the squad he built which got promoted at Sunderland instead of trying to build a new team

Lee Clark and Kevin Keegan being appointed was in the papers 2 days ago. But yeh, everyone's going to believe you.

    Clark/Keegan/Hughes/Keane/Davies/Jones.

If we get any of these, i'll be happy.

You mean he tried to make them the Man U reserve team with some failed Irish internationals thrown in.

A big no from me - has no tactical nous and relies on individuals to win him games.

its a no from me too, i'd prob take clarke, but not fussed about keegan, maybe with mcdermott, who he is with now, tho my 1st choice would def have been billy davies, then maybe jones, but the rest...................... forget it.

My ex school mate is Keano's number 2 (Tony Laughlin) he played for City Youth team (with teh Fresha bread sponsored shirts if anyone remembers). He went to Forest and scored a wonder goal that was on the starting credits for MOTD. Anyway......

Anyone else got a horrible feeling in the back of their mind that it could be Keane? I'm hoping it's just paranoia.

    Yes!

I think the owners want another internationally recognised name, which will help with promoting the club abroad. Keane fits this bill perfectly. Doesn't matter that he has a 0% success rate of course (well, maybe a bit harsh, he did get Sunderland promotion, but you understand my sentiment).

According to Stringer, Keane's odds have just been slashed from 16-1 to 3-1... :(
