Yeah. Football Manager has got less fun over the years. I happen to like sabotaging teams.and doing crazy things.
I think I resented it more than anything that the hard programed in a small stadium update and then no way no matter how dominant we were under my amazing leadership that they would build anything more. The game was basically hardwired at one point for utd to take more gate revenue and just keep coming back. You could never change that... unless you.hacked and changed the size to 100k. God only knows what they've hardwired in by now. It's like fifa. Its gone so nerd and anal retentive on detail that you.cannot have a bit of casual fun. Fifa is for "serious" pros really. Its not for the casual gamer as you.simply cannot step in and just have a game. There is no "two button" mode But really with fifa... once you cannot go in and stud the keeper AT ALL that was it for me. No fun.
I missed all of the comments about Utd after the game and can’t be arsed to go back and read them…..something is seriously wrong at that club and it isn’t just the owners…. 109km vs 94km ran - thats 15km or the equivalent to 1.5 players difference edit: Thomas Frank btw….top manager
And are utd.numbers like that always? I can only conclude if conaldo is on the park they must be. It's not just lack of running that's doing for utd. A real lack of brains and competence.on the park as well. The running shows lacking heart imo Bit the goals... lack of basic competence.
they’ve been like that for ages. Jose highlighted it and lost his job over it, he saw the rotten eggs and took it on and lost. The club is rotten to the core. Long may it continue
This is the bit that I never understand with Utd fans. From a footballing perspective only, they have continued to back everyone of the managers with transfer funds. It’s reported that they have shelled out around £750m in the last 5 years and aren’t exactly backwards with shelling out £250 - £300k a week in wages to players. How exactly is it the owners fault that the managers have shelled out on donkeys?
Fair to say that any Optimism from beating us 4-0 in pre-season has gone. Just hope that this doesn't prove to be a turning point. And after our performance against Fulham we need to see how we turn up against Palace.
I think Palace will be a tough game for you guys. Whilst they haven’t got the quality that you have, they will put a shift in.
Despite the interest payments money for players has never been an issue, especially when compared to teams like Brighton and Brentford. You could argue that they're the ones responsible for putting the people running the club in, but they've only just put New people in (not that those people have made the greatest of starts). There is an issue with the Glazers for sure, but right now the crusade against them seems to just be adding to the General negativity around the place rather than achieving anything productive. The leaky stadium didn't lose the first two games.
I saw Utds line up yesterday and told the wife they were in trouble since a MF of Fred , Eriksen and Fernandes is going to give minimal protection to an already shot back 4 . Mind you it was even funnier than i expected
Thing nevie was going on about is that all that money is money the club has generated themselves rather than any from the owners pockets. So anyone could in theory own the club and have put same amount of money towards transfers. Thing is, that’s what a lot of clubs have to do. Fsg don’t put an awful lot of money into our club for transfers, theyve made us self sufficient (admittedly they’ve done a better job at appointing people) but it seems like his issue is that the owners aren’t throwing their own money at the club like city and Chelsea do.
