The word 'anyone' should give you a clue I wasn't referring to a person specifically.

If I meant you, I'd have named you.

This thread went down the tube really fast. I really don’t get how we always get to this juncture of pointing fingers at one another. The result today can’t be excused and the manager is solely to blame. We can’t keep reverting back to history to rationalize mediocrity on shtty match days like this on week 2 of the season. Zero points and already -5 goal difference.

If I mention how negative Ronaldo’s summer distraction has been, others here will excuse it by calling him a legend. Now we can’t even hold the manager accountable because it’s not solely his fault nonsense. Which other club in the land has many excuses as Manchester United? We even excuses why we can’t execute in the transfer market like everyone else.

Speaking of transfers; ETH also bares most of the blame with fixation on Dutch League related players without contingency plans when things become protracted.

In effect, we have become a club of excuses which then traps us in our history. Until we confront our demons without trying to hide, we are simply going to be mediocre for a long time.

Going forward, I really hope that we never start the same lineup again. Garner will be better than McFred ffs!!! Just too much apathy around this team.

Ironically, "confronting our demons" is probably exactly what Ten Hag is trying to do.

What everyone needs to understand is that confronting demons is never going to be easy. We'll have to endure some pain at the start to get there. Some ppl just aren't prepared for the difficult task ahead.

Didn't you just post above that we shouldn't keep bringing up previous managers? <laugh>

You and Christian really need to follow your own advice.

You effectively just did that by making excuses that were already covered for previous managers. We brought Rangnick came in to clean house of demons. But it sounds like we are already back in 2020.

The point is that we can’t make any excuses for ETH. Everything here and now and going forward is his to own.

Did this happen whilst the players were on international duty or when they were on holiday?

Btw in case ppl aren't aware, Rangnick didn't have powers to get rid of players and buy new ones. I know this may come as a shock to some.

Just like to point out, the last time that happened we won the PL <ok>

Name the players Ronaldo has been a distraction to and why, the only people distracted by Ronaldo related click bait is fickle fans.

If EtH is fixated on Dutch based players then buy them for him, it's his job to create a team and if he doesn't get what he want's then you can't blame him if he fails.

We have had a lot of managers over the last few years, the two constants were woodward and too many of the players. I know it's the managers job to instil belief and effort into the players but if too many just can't hack it he will never change them.
New start with a manager with a firm idea of what he want's the team to be like, how many years did it take for Fergie to get rid of the piss heads and cliques (most of who were very good players but had no self discipline), it doesn't happen in 4 weeks of pre-season.

You can’t seriously believe that Ronaldo’s saga have all been click baits. Why would you bury your head so deep in the sand? Even as the manager had to answer questions on the issue?

Regarding Fergie; let’s stop drafting in distant era to today. The dynamics couldn’t be any more different economically and with cameras now rolling 24/7.

Also, no one is here calling for the manager’s head. It is way too early. However, we must recognize that the responsibility of ALL performances are his and his alone. If we had won the first two games with +10 goal difference, I’m sure no one wouldn’t credit past managers for it.

I am dead sure ETH will disagree with you that this predicament is not his responsibility. But I’m fairly confident that he has what it takes to come good.

I have asked before and will ask one last time then ignore it.

What "saga" has Ronaldo created? point me to any quote from him, his agent or the club and i will accept it, point me to click bait and i will have a little chuckle with the dog and move on.
