I would say he has to own at least some of the shambles. The current regime of ETH,Murtough, Fletcher, Arnold and the GGs should own them. The only consolation is the window is still open . We needed a truckload of new players. What did we do? We prioritised a reluctant player who may end up in Chelsea. A completely avoidable cock up.

Not really. Win (not going to happen) or lose we are at the start of Ten Hag's tenure. Sometimes you have to move back to move forward.

I thought we played with attacking confidence at the start of the game. Then conceded 4 **** goals. It's the defence which is nowhere near where it needs to be. It'll take time. So be it <ok>

“Nah! What proof do you have that he is reluctant to come here? Show me the real quotes, CS!”… That is the kind of stupid pandering conversation we have spent summer having.

We raised it that we were desperate when the window opened but always met with rebuttal. I wonder were we are now on the desperation level.

Fair play to our away fans. They've always been the real deal <applause>

Our confidence is fragile. Once we concede one we collapse and go on to concede more. Was it always like that?. I remember a time we were by a long distance the team which won more points from a losing position <whistle>

Malacia looks good. Don't know why he doesn't start tbh, Shaw's been awful for a while.

You’re not considering the psychological implications of a horrible start. We saw it last year. You don’t just turn into world beaters on the back of results. It rarely happens that way.

None of that matters now, Christiansmith. I don’t even see what Ole has to do with this thread.

We should never start with the same lineup again. As Treble mentioned, why is Shaw still starting every match?

Is that what you expected right now, for us to be world beaters? No wonder you're upset. That was never going to happen.

I'm not too fussed by the results. The defence is ****, it is what it is. I want to see how the manager changes our style of football from the dull, thick pea soup we were playing. Next game we start with a clean sheet and we go again, instilling his style.

It's clear however, we need a striker and a decent CM to achieve that. I've been saying the CM was a priority throughout the transfer window whilst you were crying about a complete non-issue with Ronaldo. Lets see what happens with that CM recruitment.

My point was not to refer back to Ole. It was to point out that the fragility on confidence should not be blamed on the previous manager/s. The current regime has to own this and sooner they do the more quickly they can sort the massive problems at the club.

McTominay has been absolute gash since he's come on.

He's been in the job for a couple of months full time.

We all know the club has been more of less killed by a bunch of thieving American ****s and, as you have pointed out countless times, the very same club has not signed the players the brand new spanking, three months into the job, manager has requested.

But this is his fault, yes?

Nothing at all whatsoever to do with the absolute ****ing dog **** served up by the last three or four managers, in cahoots with the very same thieving American ****s?

    Ten Hag's fault.

I'll blame him for playing Shaw and Dalot and Rashford (and McTominay, but he got his head round that twat sharpish) but this will no doubt soon change. He'll have to learn quick that those players, who he did not sign, are not good enough

It's been two games. Happy to point out Alex Ferguson lost his first game in charge.

    Two nil. To Oxford.

But then you should know that.

4-0. It could have been much worse.

Ten Hag was supposed to improve the team from the absolute shambles of the Rangnick (and Ole’s) era. He has had several months on the training pitch, he’s had knowledge of the players and the system best suited for his squad. Improvement? Diddly Squat. Please don’t say 3 months is too soon for even a small improvement.

Not acceptable is the complete lack of fight from the players. However more talented your team is, the first priority like Fergie always said is to match their work rate and physicality. That should now be TenHag’s priority.

Give the bloke time and a chance to build his own team and instill his own brand of football with players who understand, want to, and are able to deliver it.

You expect us not to be critical after such a historic humiliation by Brentford?
