Yep. Be over the moon. But come on. They celebrated for 10 minutes after the final whistle. I can’t remember a game other than Wembley where we celebrated like that. Even last minute winners.
is going to happen every time ? switching off does it letting teams take the piss as well should we have had 6 defenders when we are winning, i can go home then early knowing what's coming.
yes but you can’t change what the ref does, only what we do. Blaming refereeing and not reflecting on and learning from own mistakes isn’t productive
Anyone pissed off with that has a right to be, its got nothing to do with hoying toys out of prams or being happy with a point. The last 10 minutes was pathetic for a number of reasons, but to stand there and watch an unmarked keeper loop a header over the top of our keep was absolute ****e. This inviting pressure tatic isn't working either. QPR were out of the game at half time and looked clueless. Saying that, we don't hit the bar and it goes in 3-2 different story.
Think the injury caused a problem. You’re only allowed to make 3 substations. Three instances. We’d had 2 when Simms went off. He had to try to leave it as long as Neil and Pritchard could manage.
Yes but he could / should have been proactive with that second sub with Simms and made a couple. It felt like this with Coventry as well almost like he’d forgotten or hadn’t adapted to the ability to use five subs now I posted at the time, when your first and second sub is just one man, you put added pressure on that final block and it risks delaying. I think this is why it’s so frustrating because it was so bloody predictable. As soon as O’Nien was on in this thread we were worrying about the right balance of options on the bench.
And you can't change what AN does with his subs it's his choice and he does things what he thinks is for the best, that ref had more of a say in that game and made more mistakes than AN and favoured qpr
That's the second home game when we've lost concentration and been punished by a top class goal ... ... that's going to happen in this league and we can't be chucking two points as easily as that. We'd worked hard to have three in our grasp and need to work harder to keep them. Having said that, Coventry were two up, cruising and lost.
I was sitting 4 rows from the back of the west stand, saw the late tackle on Ballard and heard the crack and his yell. The ref was looking at the ball near the south west corner, at the time it looked like a straight red, be interesting to see a replay.
you know when there's a crack there's bother. I heard something go snap on one of the Southend players a few years back, horrible. Was the tackle from the Chair c**t?
Two goals from open play, better team for an hour and just ran out of steam at the end ... ... is one way to look at it. Doesn't stop me being choked though.
Had a feeling this would happen, couldn't get the 2-2 out of my mind that cost us in 98, letting 2 in in last 15 mins.
The referee was a disgrace, I said to my mate in the 2nd minute when a foul on stewart was not giving that the ref isn't giving us nothing and then when ballard got done and he give nothing only proved what I said
