Thought about this after bednareks reaction to being subbed.... definitely think he said that to a reporter

Yeah - I’m getting pretty tired of Saintsplayer now. Keeps crashing and/or slowing up for no real reason. I also tried it using Broadcasting Hut on my phone, but that was the same. I think when my subscription is due, I might bin it ad it’s just frustrating the **** out of me :emoticon-0121-angry

Could argue the reason why Leeds looked done after 70 minutes whilst we had the energy was due to playing 3 at the back. Usually it is us who have given it our all at the 70 minute and collapse like a flan in a cupboard. We then were able to change it up and go back. My concern if Ralph sticks with this is we could be 4 down before we have the chance to make the change.

I absolutely believe that there are probably players who have an axe to grind with Ralph. It’s never going to be as simple as all or nothing levels of support. Like I’ve said on other threads. There are clear indicators that the club would happily **** off a good six players at least if they had the opportunity. I’m certain that they have privately known that they are on the bubble and likely to be replaced by child labour as soon as the chance presents. I trust our recruitment to pull it off too. All the new boys from this window have looked great.

    Yep.

I think we have to go for it against Leicester. Even if the team isn't fully up to speed on the 4-2-2-2, it's clear that they aren't really getting a grip on the 5-3-2, either. Play the players who showed some real drive in this one.

There was a moment in the first half where both bednarek and (I think) Salisu went to head the same ball. I’m tempted to say it was bednarek in the wrong here. But it isn’t something likely to happen with a back 4

Just say it. Bednarek’s the scapegoat these days.

Ralph coming out fighting in his presser.

"We destroyed a few headlines today. Someone trying to destroy us from the outside is never nice. I don’t want to discuss those headlines too much as it’s very serious to spread something like that.

"The fans want to see a team who are fighting for everything and this is what creates an atmosphere and the togetherness what we need to stay in the league again."

No it is more that I am sure it was on the left side of defence which is Salisu’s part in a back three. Bednarek is seemingly supposed to be most central

He’s been a bit of scapegoat since he downed tools for the cup match. Aren’t they people on Twitter who refuse to refer to him by name?

A special shout out for Adams today, worked hard and gave their centre backs a real game
    Hope he stays

I mean, what is he meant to say? He's hardly going to come out and say "yeah, the articles are true, they all hate me" is he?

If you believe it, you do regardldss of what's said ... if you don't, you don't regardless :emoticon-0167-beer:

I don’t go anywhere near Twitter so can’t say.

Both the “refusal” to play and the strop today can be twisted in either a positive or negative way. I still like the guy. Bang average defender but I don’t think he deserves to be scapegoated at all.

Not sure about the refusal to play but i agree that a player can’t be criticised for not wanting to be subbed

Well because we don’t actually know it was a refusal. That’s classic Saints fan myth.

I saw it that he was passionate enough about football to want to play in the World Cup.

Might comment on the game later when the dust settles. For now I’ll just say 2-2 is a lot more palatable than 0-2, and I’m looking forward to reading back over the meltdown on here - which page should I start on? :emoticon-0105-wink:

In all honesty, I was in total despair at 0-2 myself

One more thing - at last we have a ****ing keeper <applause>

Ok that was a good and unexpected comeback, with some very effective subs from Ralph.

But if that defending doesn’t SERIOUSLY improve we are relegated, I don’t even think it’s even debatable.

    Good performances
KWP (although was flagging at the end)
    Djenepo
Adam Armstrong (Better on the wing than as a striker)
Stuart Armstrong (one of only a couple who turned up before 60 mins)
    Mara (Absolutely superb assist)
    Aribo
    Bazunu

    Poor
    Salisu

Do not darken our door again
    Bednarek
