Nope. Everton have had their collar felt by the FA last year for FFP. They've the highest wage to income ratio in the premier league and are working to reduce it. No way they'll have given him big bucks.
This Connor Pye any good? Must have missed the posts about his signing being confirmed - see the page on their website has been removed. Have we had the scarf pic yet?
He's been bought for the under 23 squad. The club posted him and another guy signed at 4pm yesterday.
That’s not correct. It’s as Ned Werby described. He always has a year remaining on his contract. I really don’t see the concern with the rolling contract. It’s absolutely the right approach.
We'll see how it goes. It's true of course that he always has a minimum of a year left here. But it could also be a maximum. If he's happy fair enough I suppose. I'd be interested to know how many other clubs have arrangements which are similar, though it's fair to say that the ephemeral nature of many contracts, be they three of four years or whatever, means they are not that different anyway. Let's hope he squeezes another result out today anyway!!
Was pre season last season. Kept Leam Richardson on which was a masterstroke as it looks like he was the secret behind Paul Cook's success. Never been keen on Wigan, but Richardson is a good young manager. Helps they have backed him.
He did a brilliant job last season mind. Yes they spent money but so did Ipswich and Sheff Wed. To take multiple signings and shape them into a unit was impressive. He’s be on my list of future managers. Eyes on the lad at MK dons this seasons also. If he does well again he’s a good manager.
MKD played some great football last season. Wigan are just a physical team. Grafters, loads of long balls and crosses into the box, can’t remember seeing a team score as many headers as they did last season.
They've backed him in the transfer market, not sure what the hell the are doing otherwise. Does sound pretty dodgy.
