I'll go to City and Manure feeling relaxed

  1. If we managed to get a win or a draw vs Everton, I'll go to Man City and Man utd just totally relaxed, no real expectation, just there for the experience and the day out.

Althought despite my pre-match thoughts, any game we go 1-0 up and manage to keep the lead for some time, I have my heart set on a win, and am quite gutted if we don't. So if we take the lead at City or Manure, I'll not feel as relaxed as i did when i entered the ground.

All i want from our team is to give the Manchester clubs a game. As long as we give it a go, we don't fall apart and let in 5 goals, and perhaps score a goal in each game, I'll be happy, even if we lose.

I have feelings that we maybe could nick a point from Manure, but I'm still not going to expect anything from either Manchester games, I'm just going to go to both grounds, totally relaxed and looking forward to the day out and being with our amazing away fans.

    How about you lads?

As long as we come out the other end of the Manchester games and Chelsea with a positive goal difference I'll be happy.

Man City score for fun at present, Man Utd; whilst not so prolific as thier 'noisy neighbours' in front of goal are always a threat, especially having scored 17 goals at home and Chelsea are still a tough team to beat when they are on the road.

At home, Man City only won 2-0 against Everton. The key point is that Everton have a very good defence and rely on it quite often to grind out results. Once Man City faced that, they couldn't dish out a thrashing like they do to most teams.

We currently have a better defensive unit, and we offer much more in attack than Everton do, so we might lose, but if we play very well, then there might only be a goal in it, or we might even draw.

As long as we avoid a pasting, I'll be content.

    So you're relaxed then?

On the run we're on we should be eyeing a win, if we play like we did last night, defend, harry the opposition don't see why we can't. They're (the Mancs) going to drop points at some point why not against one of the in-form teams in the league? With the best defensive record in all four leagues?

  6. In a way i agree with you mate. If anyone is going to take points from City, it might as well be us seeing as we're doing so well, but I really can't see us doing it mate. Spurs are hardly **** in defense yet City crapped all over them.

We can defend as best as we can but if City play at their best then i don't see us standing much of a chance.

This. Also agree with OT, if we come out of the next 4 games with 4 pts and still have a decent goal difference in tact I will be exstatic.

I'm with you on that Tash. I don't really expect anything other than a decent performance from the team. We can't compete with them in terms of what they can spend on their teams, but we can play to our strengths and their weaknesses. I'm not sure what City's are, but if we shoot from outside the box against Man Utd and play low crosses into the box, we've got a good chance of scoring.

I'd be very happy with 4 points from these next 4 games. Arsenal and QPR beat Chelsea though... no reason why we can't do it?? Still not expecting much though

I cannot see us taking anything from City - they are scoring for fun at the moment. They do seem to struggle to keep clean sheets though so we might get a goal or two. I'm intrigued to see what the score may be as our defense will be the best they have faced so far this season, so long as we don't have a 'blip'. I think the lads will be more than up for it but i have no expectations.

I'm more comforable facing Man U, but that probably means I'm also more nervous as I feel we 'could' acheive a point there on our day. I won't be making a prediction re Chelsea until I've seen how we do against the Manchester teams, as I feel our results there could obviously play into our mindset as we go against Chelsea.

City will be missing Kompany. 3 match ban for straight red <ok> the bloke they've just fined over half a million quid for failing a drug test won't be as steady or match fit after such a long lay off.

Unbeaten after Everton and I'll be content going into Manchester games! If we get 3 points I'll be ecstatic!

After that I could take 3 losses on the bounce and still be extremely happy with our start!

I'd rather we were playing Man U before city. Concerned a humping at city may knock the confidence before a trip to Old Trafford. See how pardew manages it though. A heavy defeat and negative press could inspire us to another great run.

I thought you only got one match ban for a professional foul, violent conduct is a 3 match ban.

Correct. Kompany will miss this weekend, he'll be well back by the time we play them.
