I think the eagle was about somewhere in annuals or something when i was growing up and was actually on sale in the 1990s but this is apparently a 60s orignal cartoon.

Probably the cost of "space" effects means nobody has picked it up for new tv compared to the dr who tripe thats been done to ****ing death now.

Maybe it was Arnautovic who rejected it because they're not a big enough club for a talent like him.

    Chelsea

    Cucurella 55m rising to 62
    Sterling 49m
    Koulibaly 34m
    chukwuemeka 20m
    Slolina 9m

    Very strong rumours if
    de Jong 72m
    aubamayang
    Fofana 70-85m
Casadei -12m from inter for guy that’s not played yet.

Already spent about £160m. Looking to spend another £150m plus what ever for aubamayang.

So far recouped 7m fee for Lukaku and 20m for Werner.

    Some big summer for them

I only get it second-hand because I don't do social media (other than here) and all signs are pointing towards us it seems. The player is learning English for his impending move. I don't know who he is but I want him here now :bandit:

The 19-year-old put pen to paper at the AXA Training Centre on Thursday and then spoke of his delight at doing so.

“It’s always nice to know that I’m going to be here for many more years, which is always a great thing with it being my boyhood club and there is nothing in this world that makes me more happy and more excited than this,” Elliott told Liverpoolfc.com.

    FFP, what FFP.

about 180mil spend 2 years ago.

this stuff is pretty much a guy who's off on a massive ego trip.

It's mad isn't it. Everyone's having to cut back on everything, utility bills through the roof, some foods in short supply and football is carrying on with bigger and bolder spending. Remember when some of us thought the pandemic would push some sort of reset button?

I guess we are all still part of the problem. For as long as we attend games, pay the tv subscriptions, there will constantly be big money in the game going to the rich to make them richer.

    yet at the same time:

Chelsea: only time will tell where this money is coming from. They cannot magic frm nowhere so it can't be sugar daddy fund due to FFP so... well... will it end up as debt and half these players (doesn't look very strategic spend to me) fail then they might not afford it again

Barca: bankrupt and dodgy dealings revealed. at some pint a bank will start proceedings.

Spurs: I keep saying it 860mil debt has been financed for the long term, they've converted player debt etc into much longer term debt and will pay much more in interest over time as a result. this is massive for a football club to bear.

Long term when there no covid they have a "profitable" business provided the wages don't grow to match the spending. They made 80mil in 2018/19. the problem is that was a record year of CL money. IN 2020 and 201 they lost 60 and 80mil... so thats not great.

Its about 20-25 mil per year just to stand still... just interest. think about that.

Fan protests about ticket prices worked. If fans could replicate that in other ways, it could have an impact. I just don't know what other ways though.

The NFL games are thought to generate about £20m per season for Spurs as they receive a rental fee plus drinks and food .

Ticket prices should be easy. I think could easily organise maybe a 2 week window where everyone plays home and away and get fans to boycott. Yea you’d still get some fans attending, but it would show clubs that fans can and will do something about ticket prices. Especially since covid and playing in empty stadiums.

How you do that with tv though not sure. A lot of people will have sky and it will be linked to broadband or phone etc. they’ll have it to watch other sports. You can’t really boycott it for a week for example.
