Might be similar situation to Broadhead and Everton. We might want to sell but nobody is willing to pay what we think he's worth yet until he's proven in League One. Like Broadhead and Championship
Wish the heck we would get on with the transfers in! The more I watch Championship matches the more I realise we need a biggish squad of 1st teamers.
aye, mind i am all for this 'slow, steady, silent' approach but it does seem like forever since we announced anyone, hoping that just means we will have a quick influx of players when we least expect it.
Deadline day. And if it is all left until then, I'm planning to ignore it all until it's all over (we'll see how that plan pans out!)
I think it is a really interesting signing mate. He clearly showed a lot of potential 2/3 years ago and looked premier league ready. He has faded though, at least in terms of appearances. It is a bit like our signings in that he has shown great potential, but has lost his way a little. Leicester do have a lot of very good players though, so perhaps he has just been stuck in the queue. Either way be interesting to see how good he is in the championship. As for Watford overall I still dont know what to make of them. They have been a basket case of a club for a while I think, at least in terms of managers. They have some superb players, but I suspect top league vultures around europe may turn to them as the window progresses. Then we have their new manager, who I rate very highly, but time will tell whether they fit each other. I have them in my camp of 'could run away with it, or could finish 10th having had 3 managers'. I suppose teams like Watford are why the championship is fun.
Off topic a bit mate, so sorry, but Tuchel is probably my favourite prem manager right now. I reckon I would love to work for someone like him.
Watford with their parachute payments probably paid a huge loan fee and are paying most of his wages there's no way we can match that. As for broadhead it's been well documented on why we didn't sign him
If Tuchel reads the article today in the mail about Abu, by Arteta and why Arsenal and the other directors decided to get rid of him, he would surely think twice.
Can get a bit excited on the touchline. Canny to watch though. Don't think much of his rapping skills ......
With all their PIF money makes you wonder that they might and whether the PIF being involved with the Mags was to get the shock of their involvement over before a bigger team came up for sale?
