I'd prefer Maddison and de Tomas tbh. Paqueta looks good in that league and the idea of him linking up with Bruno & Joe is like a dream. But I think Maddison would be a better fit, especially with Prem experience. But I'd probably take any of them right now. Must be an upgrade on Wood, Murphy, etc.
First of all. How the **** are Everton signing all these players? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62432408 Second how comes we can’t?
Just how???? I thought they where being done by FFP! Onana becomes Everton's fifth signing of the summer after James Tarkowski, Dwight McNeil and loan pair Ruben Vinagre and Conor Coady.
De Bruyne, Gundogan and Rodri? Fabinho, Henderson and Thiago? Kanye, Jourginho, Mount, Gallacher? Not even close to being the best in this league
Doesn't matter, they'll all be ****e for them. Everton are in reverse all the time they have Lampard, regardless of who they sign.
Mostly loans and free signings. They are in 'credit' so far this window after selling Richarlison. At least in terms of transfer fees, no idea about wages / agent fees though.
Exactly this, plus we've no idea how things are structured either - the PL are watching everything they do, so I wouldn't worry about it. Most of us would be crying if we'd signed McNeill and they've not done anything to replace Richarlison, plus have DCL injured for 2 months. Then throw in Fat Fwank as manager - Everton are very poor and will struggle this season. Them, Man U and Forest for the drop.
What I don't get is how every Everton signing is a 'non-disclosed fee'. Every time. Surely in the interests of true FFP, all accounting should be fully disclosed. And not just behind closed doors to some FA / Premier League reps who walk out of the meeting with a nice brown paper bag, I mean full public disclosure of ALL club accounts. Including all transfers, wages and any other costs. That way other clubs can also assess when someone else is fiddling the books.
The loan fees will be upwards of 5m each. McNeil was 25m and onana is 33m. Remember these deals may staggered in terms of structure but that might be the same for the Richarlson deal and also all the other flops they have bought over the last 3 years. They where on the FFP bitch watch aswell. They are ticking time bomb trying to catch up with their neighbours. I am hopeful it all collapsed around them.
The accounts get audited so they can’t do dodgy stuff. But I can’t get my head around the fact that they where in breach of FFP. Which means a point deduction and also sanctions on transfers until they got it recovered. The Richarlson deal wouldn’t even fix the FFP mess they where in so quite how they can then go and spend the amount and more is baffling to say the least.
Audited yes, but who by exactly? I mean it should be full public disclosure, without any if this 'non-disclosed' nonsense. But agree with you on the rest.
Audited by a regulated legal auditor. Which has to sign off a legal opinion. So the accounts will be bang on. In terms of the structure of the deals though they get vetted by the PL. Let’s hope they are committing financial suicide.
Spent £55m on him and Dight Mcneil - rest are frees or loans and Sold £60m Richarlison Released a fair few who'll have been on good wages like Sigurdson, Delph, Tosun and Kenny as well.
So a £5m net saving, plus a reduction in wages. That should just about cover Fwank's pie and doughnut bill for the season.
