Trouble is that he signed under a specific manager who was sacked a couple of months later - Gracia. Have lost track of who we've had since then, but maybe none of them rated him - or maybe he 'lost' something after his six months off with an ACL injury? Shame really - had high hopes for both him and Quina, but both seem to have lost their way a bit.
Yes that probably didn’t help . Been reported at a loan move so maybe the feeling is he needs games somewhere ?
If he does, I hope it's soon - leaving us some time and money to find a decent replacement. One of my bugbears about the summer transfer window - it really should only be open during the close season and not after the season has already started.
They did close it once before the season ended but clubs predictable complained that they needed more time to buy players . Agree we will be 6/7 games into the season when the window shuts so is very disruptive and creates uncertainty.
Sarr could solve the problem by doing what he did two years ago and commit himself for this season with the option to leave if we dont go straight. back up Same applies to Dennis, With a strong midfield and defence behind them, Pedro, Sarr and Dennis could win the title let alone promotion or playoffs
This was doing the rounds in late May, and early June when all the hype about Raphina was in full swing. Let's hope it's just recycled old rumors.
For what it's worth, the rumour mill in Leeds is now saying that Burnley's Maxwell Cornet is their main target.
Sarr or Pedro to Udinese.. http://sportwitness.co.uk/club-use-synergy-watford-sign-2-players-belief-hornets-star-jump-move/ Surely they wouldn’t do that - apparently we don’t have to sell so letting either go to Udinese would suggest otherwise ?
I could see Starr going, and most fans (I feel) are resigned to him not playing the full season at Watford. Not ideal but I could see it as a way for the Pozzo’s to extend Sarr’s Contract with them to keep any transfer value at its peek
Maybe a loan move if he is keen to move on but doesn’t seem to be the case so far unlike with Geri D/wait to see if we go up or not before selling . Not sure Udinese would pay the fee we want if there was a a permanent option.
That's nothing more than the musings of a journalist as far as I can see - and I'm not sure that the Pozzo family have ever taken the thoughts of a journalist into account in any of their transfer dealings. I'd be very surprised if anything he'd like to happen actually does happen. It would be no different from me expecting that, if we sold Pedro, we would replace him with De Bruyne.
I wonder if Sarr wants to make sure he has regular first team football in the run up to the World Cup. Playing regularly for Watford might be better preparation for that than being on the bench somewhere else. There's probably a whole bunch of players making decisions about their season based on their desire to be selected and in the right form for the tournament.
Probably why he hasn’t kicked up and fuss and asked to leave . If he went to an Everton or Leeds probably only end up getting frustrated in a struggling side like us last year . Least with us now Sarr might gain some form and confidence before the World Cup.
Hull chasing Ngakia apparently. https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-hull-city-line-up-bid-for-watford-star-jeremy-ngakia/ And, after last night, I suppose this may be a good idea... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...s-Choudhury-loan-drab-1-1-draw-Hawthorns.html
