remember when barca "claimed" to now have sponsorship on their kits. all the fan ownership and all that stuff. I believe it was 2006 when of all things unicef was put on.

Personally I view barca as a giant ego trip driven by fans electing president after president who promised more and more.

I don't know what the ownership/leadership was like 30 years ago, but the presidential thing over the past decade where they have to promise bigger and better has made them lose sight of what made them great. And I thought that sort of thing was typical of Real Madrid not Barca but seems both are as corrupt as each other.

 

I dunno, but i do think "keeping" Messi has broken them. they should have let him go years ago but kept shovelling cash down his tax avoiding throat.
