Didn't look it to me. I was on that side. However, his or her sex didn't matter. It was still my highlight.

Held our own in a fairly even first half but rode our luck in the second and couldn't get a foothold.Very much a work in progress and we'd have took a point pre-match so no harm done. It's hard to tell where we are in the big picture at the moment and we'll maybe have a better idea after next Saturday's fixture.

Good noise from a decent travelling away support and long may it continue.

Hope you and your lad eventually got home Ric. 'All trains to Glasgow cancelled' is not what you want to see at 7.00pm at night.

After letting the dust settle having been at the game, first and foremost the support from the 1600+ was excellent, PNE'ers were very quiet apart from the occasional drumming.

Clearly, Shota is having to cobble a team together with what he has available, hopefully, new additions and injured players coming back will help him to get to a better and more balanced team.

Oscar/Tetteh up front didn't work, if you are playing 2 up front they have to complement each other and play as a partnership, these 2 do not. Even though Allahyar doing a sterling job at LWB, really he needs to be upfront. I guess Sinik will come into the LWB position when fit.

Tufan certainly caught the eye and is looking better game by game, he is a quality player and good things will come from him. Slater just goes about his work quietly but is becoming an integral part of the team.

Seri had a mediocre game, however, Johnson did a job on him and was up his arse most of the game. Nevertheless, Johnson is a good player and his marshalling Seri, kept him quiet in other areas.

The back 3 were very good all afternoon, particularly Greave's and Figgy, Jones was good but had a couple of iffy moments. Coyle was okay, though he is not a wingback.

Finally, Ingram, his distribution is his biggest weakness, but other than that had an excellent game.

We are a team in transition, it is going to need a few games to find the right balance, and some new additions and injuries returning. But when you are not playing your best and can grind out a draw and clean sheet and get a point on the road, does go to show the dressing room are together.

    Spot on mate.

Healthy debate is fine but it’s far too early and laughable for it to be anything more than that right now. Fans demanded changes and we certainly got them but given the huge changes made at the top plus the number of players signed and those departed the biggest problem we have now is expectation. Supporters analyse football games with a fine tooth comb these days but as you rightly point out what the club needs now is time and patience amongst supporters and not knee jerk reactions for each and every game we win..lose or draw.

    Keep it together lads.

    Exactly.

I also think subconsciously some people's expectations have rocketed since Acun took over and have bought into his talk of promotion. Expectations are definitely higher, but I get the feeling some people are letting those feelings get in the way of objectivity, which is to say this team has only just started out.

A team that isn't gelled that has four points from two games and a clean sheet is going to get a lot more points when it finally does gel. The best approach is to take it game by game.

I think it's been ignored but PNE's home record last season was extremely good, they only lost 4 games.

The don't have the so called big names but they're a good side with a top manager. Parrott looks like he'll be a good addition for them, the midfield 3 are excellent too. The success of their season will probably depend on how long they can keep Brady fit, I don't suppose there's a better wingback in the league but he was fantastic yesterday.

And yet we still got a point.

The game went downhill in the 2nd half but every player taken off was for fitness reasons which certainly isn't helping. Nor does it help that up to 5/7 on the bench possibly won't be here come the end of the window. We need the injured players back but we also need further additions. I do hope that we're trying to get in more than the 2/3 publicly spoken about. 5 would be my preferred number if it's possible.

I thought Brady had a decent game and they'll use him as an outlet due to his decent footwork. He's slowed a bit since we had him though and his tendency to cut inside all the time is defendable...Put in some very decent crosses though and caused us a few problems:emoticon-0148-yes:

Yes, he doesn't have the raw pace he used to have but that ball in is still tremendous. When he went to the right side, he should have been easily defendable. I think everyone in the ground/watching knew what he was going to do. But each time Elder let him cut back onto his left with complete ease and put in ball after ball. It was infuriating to watch as it was clear what was going to happen.

Tbh if we have Jones and Seri in the team he only has to find the simple easy ball so as long as he is defensively sound I think it would work, we also have Greaves who is half decent technically

Just reading Coyle, Elder and Allahyar the wing backs for the game combined a total of 3 crosses in the entire game…

Brought in a top striker on paper but not playing to his strengths at all.

If Allahyar is to play wingback then it needs to be on the right. His left foot isn't good enough yet

I do wonder about about some of the posters on here. The meticulous dissection of our midfield after two games, that’s one thing.

But Robbie Brady? He was ****ing awful in the first half, slowing their play down and playing pointless flicks to no one in particular. At one point Alan Browne came onto the wing and basically tackled the ball off Brady before playing a pass to a teammate, showing him the basics he should be aspiring to.

Brady was better in the second half, in comparison, but that is the feintest of praise. He remained bang average for most of the game and generally got in the way.

Yeah definitely put a few crosses behind the goal with his left, nice that he tries though

I'd agree with you on this.

Its the one reason why I prefer Baxter to Ingram, our play got better last season when Baxter came in as we were able to counter attack more effectively.

However, Ingram has had a really good start to the season, so it would be very harsh to drop him when Baxter is fit. Nice problem to have.

great point at the end of the day - last 15 minutes was waiting for the inevitable goal against but thankfully we held on - very much work in progress but some good signs although a few areas of concern - Ingram, some great saves but needs to work on his kick outs, too many straight into touch - too much fannying about at the back by Jones and Greaves which caused unnecessary pressure and the inevitable under hit pass leading to us losing the ball - Seri is a great addition when he's with it at the start of the game, however losing the ball once too often and seemed to tire late on - Oscar and Tetteh (Mr Offside), were miles off the pace - on the positive side Tufan showed what a great addition he is to the squad - Allahyar improves each game, having said that he needs to calm down a bit otherwise he's heading for a sending off - two yellows in two games so far - hopefully we get some new signings sooner rather than later as the bench was very light yesterday
