But we don't have any quality attackers for them to practice against

It does make the pre season switch to 5 at the back even stranger though. Somehow we look worse defensively.

    Its ****ing stupid.

Make the system fit the players you have. We have shoehorned into this formation and it’s highlighted our worst players.

Go 4-3-3 and play to the squads strengths.

Especially when the polish is also a turd.

No fault of his but Dj can’t play LB against quality. Massive weak point.

Hmmm... ...maybe we'll see Lyanco and ABK next week. Bedders has been OK today but Salisu does seem to have that decision making flaw he displayed last season. I have no doubt he will get better but he needs to get his head straight.

Whilst the defence has obviously been bad, this formation just invites pressure. We look just as bad going forward as we do at the back

Maybe this will be different against sides not as good as Tottenham are, but I just can’t see where any creativity comes from in this side

Literally every fan I know said that the 5 at the back with these players is stupid.

Why can we see the glaring obvious but Ralph can’t? He’s sticking with players that simply aren’t up to it.

Switch JWP to RB until Perraud is fit to start? Can certainly defend better than Djenepo, which right now is probably more important than having a flying wing back.

I think it is the new coaches coming in that have influenced the change more than Ralph who I always thought had a preference for 4-2-2-2 (as a starting position) unless it was a top side where he changed to 3/5 at the back with wing backs.
