    So....
It turns out the Cruella Doberman aka Suella Braverman, the rabid, Johnson-appointed AG without the necessary qualifications, was in fact DISBARRED from practicing Law in the US under her born name. She also tweaked her Christian name as well....
    Due diligence? <doh>

    https://www.whitehouse.senate.gov/n...ll-on-fbi-for-answers-on-handling-of-tip-line

“If the FBI was not authorized to or did not follow up on any of the tips that it received from the tip line, it is difficult to understand the point of having a tip line at all.”

So the FBI didn't investigate Kavanagh at all.
They asked for permission to do so and were denied.
They received 4,500 tips and simply passed them on to Trump's lackeys.

Christopher Wray is a registered Republican and a Trump appointee.
He attended Yale at the same time as Kavanagh and they're both members of the Federalist Society.
He failed to do his job and he needs to go.

Two questions spring to mind and one of them's probably irrelevant.
Firstly, where did Fernandes come from?
Her parents are of Indian descent, but born in Kenya and Mauritius.
Not that it matters, but it just strikes me as strange.

Secondly, and this is the one that actually matters, why did she get qualified in the US?
She clearly did, as this shows: https://opengovny.com/attorney/4434312
Never studied there, got her Masters in French and European Law, doesn't appear to have lived there...

Her disqualification appears to be from allowing it to expire, though.
No big story there, in my opinion.

Agreed re: disqualification - but the backstory - hidden from public view - is.
As is her total lack of experience and suitable qualification for the role off AG.
And as an honorary Silk, she will retain that status after she leaves Office. Although not entirely sure how that will work if she rightfully ends up in jail? <laugh>

I think the story is this person has not been truthful in her career or life and is now elevated to a position she is not really qualified for , with a sweep of her pen she can wipe out years of democracy, she is not the only one , this government has me worried far more than any other that I have seen in my adult life , I genuinely fear for the future of the country if we do not get rid of this lot very soon

Are you actually confident that particular Rubicon has not already been crossed?

I still can't believe that he specifically talks about taking money from the places that need it.
He also changed **** that he claims to have inherited from Labour, somehow.
The last time that Labour was in power he was running a hedge fund.
He didn't run for office until 2014, when the Tories had been in power for 4 years.

I prefer to see the emergence of Mick Lynch as one of the first hopeful signs in England since 1979. People under 50 have always lived in a neo liberal world and have accepted Victorian conditions of employment as the norm. There are signs that there is an awakening on the left and the right wing bandits running the country at the moment will only raise awareness of the limitations and exclusivity of their self seeking methods.

Talking of 'rabid' Tories, the latest disrupted Truss Hustings event was a perfect example of how ****ed the UK really is.
200 middle England blue-rinsers and their driving glove wearing spouses, cheering her campaigning on closing down democratic debate and lawful protest.
    Just wonderful...

Really pray you're right - and I have no doubt that a GE in the next 6 months would see a change of Government. However, never underestimate the stupidity of the English population... <laugh>

Spot on which is why I live in Scotland but yes we have stupids here as well just not as many. Name me another country that has voted against it's own Independence. The only ones that come to mind were part of the Soviet Union. The present rise in the cost of living and burgeoning inflation are the conditions that always bring political change. It's exactly what swept Thatcher to power. It would be sweet if similar conditions caused a swing to the left and at the moment that is the only direction of travel possible. Any further right and Westminster will be replaced by Queen Truss.
