I think if she was my wife and had just wasted in excess of £1m I would be livid. Though as you infer, he made his bed and I guess he has to lie on it.

 

Surely though he knew just as much as her that she had done it and yet was still willing to go along with it. That’s a lot of money for keeping the missus happy for a quiet life. not that that paid off at all.

 

I'm sure he did, but clearly, her evidence was shaky and inconsistent by all accounts, so he obviously thought before the trial, from what she had told him, that she could win!
