The club do seem to look after players with bad injuries and help them with their rehabilitation and to find another club I do recall Jake getting an extra years contract to help get him back fit. He is currently at Bognor Regis https://www.pitchero.com/clubs/bognorregistownfc/news/jake-back-with-rocks-2718254.html

Imnagine if we did get relegated, And all these current youngsters performing in the first team, With all our under 21s.. We'd be decent!
If we get relegated I’d imagine all the youngsters would be off back to u23 sides of the big teams, possibly lower PL sides if they’ve had good seasons personally. I don’t see too many of them hanging around unless they’ve been really poor and nobody wants them
This may well have already been discussed but I’m not that up on the Academy other than a few names, but just wondering if Dominic Ballard is someone we should be letting see some first team action? He’s already older than JWP was on his debut in Coca Cola cup and roughly the same age for EPL debut…. Just wondering from those who know more about performances rather then me reading names on scoresheet…
I’d be interested in the same. I’d expect key factors would be his build and pace. If he still relatively lightweight and not rapid then that probably wouldn’t be a good recipe for getting him in the premier league yet Take a look at Adam Armstrong for an example of how being completely lightweight makes you almost a non entity in the majority of games. Or how easily Hesketh was broken - seemingly permanently. Are their many examples of teenage strikers that aren’t either real units or absolutely rapid. I can’t even really think of many of the former. Perhaps Rooney as an example of the former and Owen the latter?
He does look slightly lightweight in the one or two pictures I’ve seen but with Kamari Doyle sidelined for the next few months and our lack of strikers, might be a good option for Mara to take him under his wing a bit….?

https://www.southamptonfc.com/news/...ampton-fc-academy-scholarship-signing-2022-23 Still bring them in!
Another one from Spurs too! That’s three to keep an eye on that have moved over from them recently. Glad to see that we’re being proactive at recruitment in lower age groups too.
