make sure you firmly shut it afterwards ..... tish you think you know somebody oh and there will be a letter from my solicitor in the post
No I actually put on the Oasis B sides album... Not got a kindle... have had a play about with one, they are good as you feel you are reading the text from a book rather than a gadget..
Bollocks to the written word, can I wi fi the Observer on a Sunday morning with a Waterstones book token? No, can I ****.
It's that luxury of waking up and just donwloading, rather than going off to the shop. I usually read the saturday/sunday papers during the week anyway, chance would be a fine thing to kick back and relax of a sunday morning. They seem a good plan to me, she doesn't keep the books she reads anyway as they are usually borrowed. I take all week to read the weekend papers so don't read much anymore (hangs head).
Having said that, I feel like **** today and made a mental note to get started on 'Reeling in the Years' by Mark Radcliffe tonight. Won't be venturing out to watch the Carling.
I just read the papers websites... just been perusing the dailymail site... anyone else have any clue about the political weirdness re this referendum on the EU? its not happening... but dont get what all the song and dance are about it.. also a rather interesting story about passenger jets using scramjet technology in the future...
I used to buy The Mail. I don't now. It's one of those things that when I gave up I simply do not miss, probably because it is utter ****, like weed. And ciggies, bet you wish you could be like me eh, Sweats? As you know, I ****ing loves a ciggie but just don't have the craving, unlesss there's a pint in my hand.
Most newspapers are **** really, most carry the same news.. The mail makes me laugh as it so anti everything.. As for the ciggies yes I would love to give up... think i may be forced to give up for new year.. I'm already banned from smoking in my own house... am meant to go outside but have been sitting by the back door with the french doors wide open to do so....
Tags, Kindles are fantastic mate. They've brought out a new version recently. Exactly the same screen size etc, but it's faster and cheaper. Only difference is that you get a virtual keyboard instead of a physical one but that's no biggie. I hardly use the keyboard anyway. Yes, you can wifi the papers - BUT they're in black and white as Kindle doesn't support colour. Just think of it as the good old days. It's the ease of use, not having to sit up & hold a book in bed for example - I know it sounds lazy, but I always hated the inconvenience of having to hold a book with 2 hands and sit upright in bed. That's gone now, I can lounge whichever way I want. Superb. Then there's the convenience of not having to wait for a book if you see something you fancy. You just download it there and then. In 20 seconds. And they're usually cheaper than the print versions. Me & the missus have both got one and we only have to buy a book once and it gets sent to both our devices. Bargain. I've got 1000 kindle books on my hard drive which I could copy to a memory stick & send you if you want Tags? Just let me know. In short, they're fooking immense!
Sounds a winner. I think I've got her present sorted, which makes a change for me as I am generally **** at such things. Fair play, I have got a proper nasty bug. Went home early yesterday and then spent the next 17 hours in bed sweating and having mad trippy dreams. I shouldn't really be in work today but I'd be bored otherwise so took the hero route and came in. Wouldn't wish this on anyone though, I feel like ****. Anyone watch last night? I couldn't drag my arse out of bed so missed it.
Couldn't bring myself to watch them. I'm still reeling from Sunday. I've resigned myself to midfield mediocrity for the rest of the season. If there's one gigantic fault that will forever taint Ferguson's otherwise phenomenal time at OT for me, it's this stubborn streak that prevented him from replacing Keane. It's inexplicable. We could've had 3 more CL titles by now with the right man in the middle of the team. I'm absolutely convinced of it.
Slightly inclined to agree with you on that.. or if Hargreaves was not made of glass he would have made a difference. You ****s have been quiet!!! You still dying of man flu chops?
Good point about that traitorous mother ****er Hargreaves, Sweats mate. Though the chocolate-kneed **** had been unavailable for 341 years, so Fergie had just about enough time to weigh-up a possible replacement. Off to Muncaster castle (near the mass murderer Derrick Bird's suicide site just in case you need a geographical reference point) with the family & some friends tomorrow. It's a beautiful old place with halloween stuff going on. Staying in the Pennington hotel in Ravenglass and then hopping aboard the 'larl ratty' steam engine on the Sunday. Loves it! This time of year is brilliant. Get to booze and worship the devil. Plus I'm off next week so it's even better. Hope you're alright now Tags? I've ben feeling low-level ****e for a couple of weeks now. I wish it would develop into something or **** off!
Feeling marginally better although very, very down. Had to have our dog put down this morning, it was a difficult time which only another dog owner will fully appreciate. Devastated, he was fifteen but up to a couple of weeks ago in the full flush of health then he just stopped eating. For a dog that literally followed you round in the hope of a scrap this was obviously not right and he wouldn't even look at a sausage. I came home last night and got a couple of very weak wags of the tail and he went in this morning, both me and Sian are in bits. Not a happy day. Just glad I got to see him again.
Mate, I do know the feeling and it's ****e. They are literally a part of the family and I was totally gutted when our family dog was put down. I remember my old man who was/is a hard-arsed working class bloke breaking down when it happened. I haven't owned a dog in my adulthood (I was 16) so I can imagine it's even worse when you're the one who has to make the decision - but you can take solace that you did what had to be done for his sake mate. Christ, I forget how ridiculously painful it is when something like that happens.
I know, I couldn't even begin to imagine of one of the kids were to, well you know. The grief with a dog is bad enough but with your child it would never go away. I'm starting to find the next big thing scenario quite funny. MOTD open up by showing LAST WEEKS highlights of the mighty man City and then heap praise over them once again for beating Wolves. We, in the meantime, get the 5th slot on the programme, just ahead of Swansea, and a smirking ascertion that we were lucky. Again. Never forget your bread and butter you ****ing stupid gurning ****s. Do you honestly think that the viewers are turning on to see City? Think again. Same to ITV, you've made money off the back of Manchester United's champions league exploits for decades but City are now flavour of the month are they? Well, they can't even fill their own ****ing stadium so good luck with your viewing figures.
Fan-****ing-tastic post Tags! Couldn't have put it any better. They were bleating about city on Talksport today, saying it is all over for the rest of the league. Didn't they say that about United when we battered Arsenal - who, by the way, are now being tipped for a comfortable top 4 finish... It's all a bag of ****e and when those twats lose a couple of games, they'll be hammered. The only difference is, United are used to it. And they ****ing actually win things. Big, important things. Lineker is a massive **** anyway, as are those two ****ing scouse pikeys who 'contribute'. I'd cheerfully de-spleen that total ****-knuckle 'Lawro'. It's a ****ing boys' club that show with their knowing quips and 'oh we're such great mates and have amazing banter - think yourselves lucky we let you witness it...' ****s.
