Leeds have made an initial offer but Campos wants more, seems Radz is open to doing a deal and closing it out. Kalimuendo and his agent meet Campos later, but Newcastle, Everton, Rennes, Nice are also wanting him fingers crossed so we can shut lazy journos up

Season when Adams was the focal point at Birmingham. A bit like Paddy is for us. Below is highlights from half a season.

 

There's no doubt that he was onfire during that season but he's disappointed since. Not woefully so but something has happened to make him appear to go backwards. Is that an injury, loss of confidence or just playing at a higher level ?

Still probably worth a punt if the price is right but we really should have funds available to sign someone who's reputationally better.

 

Should have the funds to get both, at the end of the day we have never replaced Roofe, a choice of three first team strikers isn't extravagant by any stretch of the imagination. At least one game changer on the bench is a must

 

I genuinely think it's just down to playing to people's strengths. I'm not saying Adams is the answer to our problems. I just don't think he has fitted well with Southampton. If we do get him and show him a bit of love, get his confidence back up he could turn out to be a great signing. We just have to play to his strengths which is predominantly in and around the box. Our system might suit him.

I agree there are better out there but it wouldn't be the worst signing. If anything an upgrade on Roberts, James (when up front) and Greenwood.

 

We won't bring in 2 strikers. It will be Bamford, Gelhardt and a new signing with backup from the likes of Greenwood, James, Rodrigo if all three are crocked.

 

Che Adams is sub standard, end of, if we buy him then there’s a big question mark against Orta and JM
