For any UK based users that want to watch on iFollow - 1. Sign up to NORD VPN, they often have good deals that work out to about £5 a month. Once your account is created and active you’ll need to download the app to your desktop/mac 2. Connect the VPN, I normally use countries like the Netherlands or Belgium as they have good speeds. 3. Once the VPN is connected, sign up to the Hull City iFollow service and select the relevant package you’d like. 4. On a match day open Nord VPN, sign in, select the Netherlands, open ifollow on chrome and sign in, click next match and then click play. Easy as that! For Mac users you can get around the AirPlay/mirror block by buying a Mac HDMI adaptor, can get them for around £10/15 on Amazon
I tried nord vpn, didn't work for me. It took my money then refused to let me watch, said I was in the wrong place.
My VPN worked fine but somehow they rumbled that I was in the UK (London) and blocked me. Ended up getting a fire stick and downloading an app which seems to be working fine so far.
Have Surfshark and Nord on different devices. No problem last season with Surfshark last season, or Nord but on Saturday it flashed “ You are using a VPN…” and wouldn’t let me connect with either of them.
It’s with Express VPN. Not just for iFollow as I spend a lot of time in Greece when a VPN is useful for UK-based streaming apps.
I meant are you using a Hull City membership registered to you in the UK via a VPN or did you set up a membership from an address abroad, sorry. I've set up a membership using my dad's address in Cyprus and used nord vpn but it's still only letting me purchase audio for Preston on Saturday.
What I cannot figure out is that with the Ifollow production taking place anyway why fans in the UK cannot purchase it for a decent price such as £15 and watch away games. I genuinely don't think many people would opt for that instead of going as people who go away regularly enjoy it too much, but a £15 fee from another thousand fans sat at home in their underpants would surely be a welcome boost for the Home Club? I'd certainly pay £15 to do it above board for away games I can't attend. Im sure there are a lot of others too. I feel like in this age of 'on demand' media the EFL are missing a trick. I understand the argument about it effecting the crowd which is why you make it a high price to stop it being too much cheaper for a home fan to watch it at home in their underpants too.
Ah. I think I just used my UK address. You often cannot buy a game if you’re in a country where the rights have been sold - which is why Luxembourg is a good bet, as they don’t seem to buy up much UK footy for rebroadcast. But then I am sometimes really abroad - maybe that helps.
I just put my Nordvpn onto Luxembourg and it's now offering video pass on City's site. 11 Euros which equates to £9-21.
