He showed the difference it makes having someone confident, comfortable and ready to come short or run at people in that position. I suspect after hearing Shota's motm comment and Acun tweeting that video we might see him play there again, however, there is a guaranteed penalty and red card around the corner unless he can improve his discipline when defending.

ive had a run in with you before a couple of times on message boards. you need to get some anger management.

i asked a workmate today if he'd seen the highlights of city. he said yes.
and he added fooking embarrassing that penalty wasnt it.
and i think the rest of the football world will think that. and a lot of city fans.

if thinking that diving like that makes me an idiot then the lunatics really have taken over the assylum.

whatever happened to the spirit of the game that chillo played in. do you think he would have dived like that?

or stayed on his feet to take the shot?

not playing football but i have done plenty of things like that at work and every now and then my heel gives me a stabbing pain when i stand on it all of a sudden for no reason whatoever and lasts a day or two then goes.

but i dont fall to the ground as iff my legs have been switched off.

if you think his fall was natural then thats fine by me.
    i dont.

I think that unless you've talked to Tetteh and he's admitted to you he dived, then you're maligning him unnecessarily. The still photos clearly show significant contact, and it's perfectly possible the pain kicked in after a couple of strides. That was my view of it at the time, and in the replays. Just because there was a delay in him going to ground doesn't mean he was faking it, or that it wasn't a penalty.

seen as though you asked why does it matter. in the scheme of things it doesnt. players are instructed to play act/simulate call it what you like when they feel even the slightest of contacts.

    i dont like it.
    regardless of who does it.
to me it looked like his falling over was an afterthought.
maybe i saw it wrong? but thats what it looked like to me.

if i saw my 10 yr old grandson fall to the floor like that i would laugh at him and accuse him of being a charlie.

you could well be right. its just to me it looked like an after thought. as if his first thought was to stay on his feet and take a shot and then have second thoughts a moment later and go down.
i wasnt there in person and the stream i was watching was pretty naff.

The sad part of it all, is that if he had tried to stay on his feet, despite being fouled the ref wouldn't have given it, that's why pro footballers go down. Not great I agree, but it was a clear foul. Sadly unless refs start giving the fouls without the players dropping like they've had their legs amputated then players will always go down, in fact im pretty certain managers everywhere have alluded to it previously.

The referee was a few feet away in an excellent position to see the challenge. Ask someone to jump at your ankle, at speed, wearing football boots and then come back and say he dived.

As I said stop digging, not getting into an argument, as, unlike yourself this is really the last I’m prepared to say about it. You’re calling Tetteh out as a cheat, then saying Elmo was your favourite player!!! Sorry son you can’t have it both ways.

why? when elmo overstepped the mark i condemned him for it.
ive just downloaded the video of the incident and looked at it through some video editing software i have and i think that the still photo that city fans are using as proof of contact is a little misleading. from different angles it looks as if there is minimal contact. certainly not enough to warrant a painful reaction like that. and the proof for me is that when tetteh fell to the ground he didnt clutch his ankle but his thigh.
    his right thigh.
yet contact appears to be with the left ankle?

edit it is his right ankle contact is made with. dislexia attack apologies
    mmmm.

The Dean Ashton comment is set up.
The expert in the studio will only see a small clip of the match not much more than we saw.
He is bound to make those comments to create interest in the program on a new Channel .
We were on last in the round up of the division as the camera work was poor and only one camera used.
Not enough evidence to make any judgement from that camera angle.
Surprisingly the ref was in the correct position. The surprise being that he had given Bristol some very soft free kicks for the whole of the match. He could easily have waved that one away.
In real time I thought it 50 50 at best sitting in West stand …just below the camera position .

No doubt it will even itself out over the season.
