by the sounds of things it was largely a mix of squad players/21s, so maybe not worth getting too worried about
The way he put the ball wide with the goal at his mercy to make it 3-3 showed he'd fit right in as well Seriously though he had great pace and apart from Dan James we're lacking in that department.
it’s interesting that whilst plenty have been concerned about Jesse signing ex players, that the three he’s gone for have hit the ground running. Maybe they understand Better what’s required in his system… maybe they’re just decent players… likely a bit of both proof of the pudding begins next week though
think pace in the side in general has improved. Though perhaps more in midfield. Adams is quick, aaronson no slouch. Not seen enough of sinisterra to see if he makes up for losing raph in the speedster stakes.
Luvumbo is their #9 name. 20 year old and probably runs the 100m under 10 seconds. Started on the left and caused problems and 2nd half played up top on his own and stretched us all over the place. Pace, power, hold up play and yes he missed a sitter to make it 3-3. Hopefully Radz is tapping him up in the bar as we speak. By the way, it's ****ing terrifying when teams beat our initial press. Just Koch and Llorente staring at 6 players running at them. That could get boring very quickly at this level.
Absolutely… but more about getting shafted due to taking up the wrong position and the same for the Leeds defenders
Been to his museum in Santos, I have! Most impressive. Don't know about the other age groups we have on here, but when I was a kid, everyone (even the specky goalies!) knew Pele's full name. He was everyone's hero - worldwide. It'll never happen again imo.
There was no debate in our day who was best in the world. It was Pele. What was it. 1000 career goals or something like that
Yup. I remember the photo in the paper of his 1000th. The 'keeper pulled off his shirt to reveal '1000' or something like that.
Was also back in the great days when nobody discussed his wages or transfer value. All anyone cared about was what he could do with a football. That’s where all professional sport has gone wrong
