Not sure what the story with keita is. He hardly played surely v city.

It's a bit of a jip to a full crowd (and it is a full crowd)

But what's the point of the game if not to get ready for season

5 first team kind of possibilities that need sharpening but there's prob.3 or 4 more who ought to be here for 60/70mins.

I dont know why klopp not brought another 6 kids along as subs. It seems well dodgy for the fans.

 

Anyone going to the game thinking they were going to see Salah, Nunez vvd thiago needs to have a look at themselves. Silly to think would be a first team out there the day after we play city.

was only ever going to be a few players that hasn’t played yet. Similar to the friendly after Fulham game, just gonna be players that didn’t play in the prem.

 

This will be the only opportunity for alot if oeople to actually sit inside anfield.

Regardless of the team, result, etc, they've been and watched, theybe actually tipped up to anfield which for many is a dream by itself.

 

Worry that Konate limped off. Hopefully just a precaution but will be vvd and Matip starting on Saturday and Gomez more than good enough to step in if needed.

 

Yeah but when every single game is away that's the only shot kids locally have to see a game.

It was a wee bit weak but injuries didn't help.

Keita played less than milner. Jones... what was it a bruise or two.

50k locals and kids in there not going home with smiles.

 

Konate hasn't been good most of preseason so I sincerely doubt he was goingbto start anyway.

Gomez looked like he didn’t think he should be in that game
Konate - who I was really looking forward to seeing again was defo not at his best
The GK did not seem to be very commanding at all
My eyes are not what they were but one of the forwards could not stay on his feet lmao

A better second half but no idea if that was cause we brought on two CBs who wanted to play and moved Gomes out right

but my daughter loved it she sang all night even though atmos was not the best and cartwheeled back across stanley park so not fussed

was a nice night out

 

That's good anyway.

 

Thing is though, when the tickets were sold for this game nobody knew that we would be in the Charity Shield so people buying the tickets would have reasonably expected to see the first team.
