The worry for me is that we may have spent too much time on CDK when we could have gone straight in for Kalimuendo or Gakpo, but now linked with Che Adams and the Columbian in Mexico for £5m.

By the way I am liking every player we have brought in and reckon they will all be recognised as good buys. My only worry is Jesse and if hes good enough, but he can put that to bed early with some decent results. In his favour he has brought some players in who know him and have played for him so know what hes about

Bit unfair on League 1. I cannot name one of the German players, which considering it's a "major" final is pretty poor on my behalf, so have decided Women's football is just not for me. Will leave it to the real fans.

I haven't a clue who the manager is but if it goes to penalties I wonder if they will bring on three substitutes like bignose Southgate did to get a certain headline in the papers

USA world champions, world cup winners with a pink haired lesbian gobshyte who demanded women players get paid the same as men. USA team then get beaten 6-0 by a school team of 14/15yo boys. Thats how good womens football is, so not for me I would rather use a cheese grater on my scrotum than watch it

I'm alright with womens football. I used to watch Guiseley Girls back in the late 90's. The quality is fairly low but you do get some good games.

It'd just got a bit cringy the last few years. It's been forced on the fans of the men's game and the girls now want even pay which is fine as long as they attract the crowds and sponsorship to get that kind of money.

It grates a bit with the constant comparison to the men's team. I heard today that the women will eclipse the men's team if they win the final today which is utter nonsense. This **** with Ellen White becoming England's all time top scorer by overtaking Rooney is really frustrating. Stick Rooney in a woman's team and he'd get 10-15 goals a game. Stick Ellen White in the men's team for 100 matches and she'd not only get zero goals but would probably end up seriously hurt. To compare the two is ridiculous but somehow has become acceptable.

Just let the women do their own thing. Nobody is going to tell them to stop. The constant piggy backing of the men's game which has taken 150 years to build up is very frustrating.

Saying same in the 8-0 group stage win-

"England created their own slice of history as a Beth Mead hat-trick helped them to a stunning 8-0 victory against Norway in their second group game of Euro 2022.

No side had ever scored eight goals in a single Euros match in both the men's and women's competition, until the Lionesses ran riot at the Amex Stadium."

I work with a guy who is a great darts player. He plays the qualifiers for the open tournaments and he really dislikes women playing in the men's tournaments. He's played and beaten the top women players in qualifying tournaments but he's never managed to qualify for a TV tournament.

He's no problem with the girls themselves but he says they get 2 spots in the world championships just from the women's world championships which he isn't allowed to enter cos he's a bloke. Those two places are taken away from 'open' qualifiers which he competes in so there is less chance for him. However, the women enter these tournaments aswell as their own world championships so they get more chances than the blokes do. The girls never qualify from 'open' events because the blokes are better, including him (so he says).

His idea is that if they want to play in an all inclusive world championships then just bin off women's and mens darts and just have darts. Everyone has to qualify equally. No such thing as a women's world championship just throw them in to the ocean of darts players and see if they can swim. He reckons not one woman would even qualify for a TV tournament as they are still far behind even decent club players.

My big problem with it is that I as a bloke who has watched football all my life and recognise the good the bad the brilliant and the stupid, have been firced to accept lady presenters and lady pundits to infest my viewing. I have zero respect for them because none can ever know how a male pro footballer thinks. Yet I see idiots who I respected like Ian Wright etc have to stay silent and nod when a woman speaks dribble. I would say fk off but guess they want the cash….. the amount of top top pundits and commentators sacked because they have to make room for women at BBC. It was also a stupid bird from the BBC who said that the England womens team is racist as no black players… i respect women players in a womens game but its not football its a different sport I wouldnt watch

On to today's game and if we don't win 2 or 3 nil I will be somewhat concerned for the coming season. If we only manage a draw I will be concerned and if we lose I feel it will be a major concern. Typically the main area that needed addressing has not been resolved. Our priority should have been a decent goal scoring striker and it seems we are now looking at the cheaper options. Can't believe we are considering Che Adams. Hoping for a decent win to keep the spirits up going into the start of the season.

Suppose it depends on how many changes we make at half time.

I'd expect a starting XI for Wolves to start the game and go for it but I can see a ****load of changes by the 60 minute mark which usually ruins the game as a spectacle.

The first 45 minutes will be very telling.

Think you’ve summed it up pretty well. There are some established women’s sports.. athletics, tennis for example where the opportunity and participation levels allow for at least a recognition that you are watching elite sport where the differentiation is only the physical capabilities of the participants. That’s clearly not the case with football. They draw from a small pool of players and the grass roots development isn’t there. It’s a minority sport. I think skill levels are improving but defensively they’re poor.

you can use a 10% guideline as a minimum physical difference between the genders when you look at athletics world records for example. If women are 10% slower, 10% smaller then by playing on men’s pitches, the pitch is too big, the goals too big etc proportionate to the men’s game… it might part explain the pace of the game, the time on the ball… why the defenders seem so sh*t and the goalies useless…. But the main reason for the ability differentiation is there aren’t millions and millions of girls kicking balls around in the back garden, and joining clubs. Hey maybe events like this will change all that, but trying to draw comparisons with the men’s game is, well, bollox
