The Galway bumper has an interesting runner - although not from a betting perspective. It appears the 11th richest man in Wales has a horse stabled at Closutton - No Risk No Fun - and he is 3/10 to follow up his debut win under a penalty. No Risk No Fun is really nicely bred, being by No Risk At All (sire of Allaho and Epatante, amongst others) out of French mare Incorrigible (dam of 6 winners including the Tom Symonds trained Hollywoodian and two full brothers to No Risk No Fun in Nickolson and L'Incorrigible).

No Risk No Fun won a very poor looking bumper at Wexford on debut (future form reads 6 runners and not a single place) but you can only beat what is put in front of you and Mullins' gelding hacked round and sluiced up. The way he powered clear in the last furlong was certainly very easy on the eye - he looks a powerful individual and was clearly the best horse in that bumper by a mile.

Today he has more on his plate with two other previous winners in the line up. Firstly, the Fame and Glory gelding Mon Coeur who ran 2 really nice races in defeat before getting off the mark at the 3rd time of asking in emphatic style at Killarney. The other previous winner in the race is another Mullins runner, Spread Boss Ted, owned by Roger Brookhouse. He was 4th on debut behind Marine Nationale (who would have been a really interesting runner here but has been scratched) before getting off the mark in good style.

Clearly Patrick has the choice of the Mullins runners and has left Spread Boss Ted to Jody Townend and today should tell us a bit more about how good No Risk No Fun might be.

Won readily again - at EVS <yikes> lovely drift

Currently 16/1 fav for the Champion Bumper but I'm not sure he's up to that level.
