He's trying to show who's boss and all that ****e to make up for his lack of managing ability, apparently he leaves most of the tactical work to his coaches. I'm so pleased we avoided him and Lampard and got Eddie. Howe can't live off being a top name player, and i prefer that as he needs to prove himself as a manager alone and he is doing.
I can't believe they enforce this, I assume it just sounds like something he'd do to try to establish authority at the start. If he did indeed enforce it, it shows why they were ****e at the end of last season - "forgetting cakes on birthday" FFS. This is pure Souness - ie trying to establish hard line discipline to gloss over the fact youre a **** manager.
It is indeed peak souness. That’s why I think it’s real. What a dick. A few fines for big stuff yes. A menu of petty fines no.
The trouble with putting a list together like this is he leaves himself open to accusations that he condones diving as there is no punishment for being booked for that. Or if one of players decides not to commit a professional foul to save a certain goal as the punishment for being sent off suggests Stevie doesn’t want him to.
If they really wanted to sadisctically torture then they could just show them women's football on repeat.
When you think most of the players there will be on way over £21kp/w (£3,000 a day) it's the same as any club fine list - dirty boots 50p, pissing in the shower £1, sent off £3 + fine etc. Edit - there's no fine for pissing in the shower but one for wearing flip flops? Maybe Stevie loves a Slippery golden shower?
