Yup just clickbait. When you read these accounts, they’re almost always retrospective…Leeds enquired about, Leeds watched. I’m sure we did. We then went and bought other players in those positions….
I’ve got to say, if I received the dogs abuse opposing fans give players then I’d love nothing more than celebrating a goal in front of them. Likewise if I made a mistake in front of them I’d expect the verbals to increase. If objects were hurled at me I’d want action taken. It’s like the Everton player who hurled a flare back, he really should have received a lengthy ban
Personally I don't care where oppo players celebrate, but they shouldn't whinge when some home fans react. I remember the days when players could celebrate whatever way they wanted and the crowd could react in whatever way they wanted. They were throwing bricks and darts then, well more so at each other but you get my gist. Unfortunately football like alot of things in the generation we live in is getting sanitised and soon we won't be able stand, boo or anything. My point I was trying to make is that instead of always having a go at the fans, the players need to behave as well.
He should have of course, but didn't because he's a player, but a supporter doing that would get a ban. The players of today are just a soft bunch of rich pampered twats. I don't care how they celebrate or where they celebrate, because football is already having the passion sucked out of it. But these overpaid prima donnas if they give it out, don't cry if it's given back to them.
All good clean family fun until some clown doesn't get the reach on the throw and you cop it in the back of the head. I didn't realise that a 50p was so fecking heavy and sharp. Neither did the young lad who got one in the face. The off pitch nonsense overshadowed that at Carlisle in er, forgotten. We lost 3-1 I think anyway.
Granted hitting or getting hit from fellow supporters is not nice. I have never thrown anything at an away fan or player by the way. But Sky Sports having a melt down because some of our fans were throwing paper planes at the Villa was pathetic. Like I said Brizzie, I'm not condoning it, but I can understand it. Especially when the likes of scum and chelsea players do the winding up. Graham Kavanagh had coins thrown at him when taking corner kicks while playing for Cardiff, he didn't get hit granted but he didn't whinge about it, he just picked the coins up, put them in his sock and gave the crowd the thumbs up.
I did intend to watch the lironesses game but missed it. First proper hot day of the year 40c bush fire in estepona, my mum got evacuated etc. Anyway all good now, relaxing with some cold cans to ease the 30c summer nights.
Glad to hear your mother is ok. I still remember the first time I met her, when she gave us a lift to the Whistlestop...
