Reckon a fair few of our fans will be eating their words regarding Parrott come the end of the season Simms looks like good business though, heading in the right direction!
Anyone got a brief overview of Simms' attributes? I don't know much about him at all, I assume he is similar to Stewart given the way we play.
I've only seen people say complimentary things about him. Like he is probably too good to come if he isn't going to be starting most weeks so fair enough it didn't work out. Stewart is ours so he was always going to be first choice.
Just fishing my scarf back out from the down pipe after flushing it down the bog in protest at our crushing 1-1 pre season defeat
RTG and Twitter was rife with the typical “**** anyway only scored 8 goals in league 1” comments as soon as he signed for PNE. I think he’s going to have a stormer this season, might be eating me words..
With Simms likely at the moment, and plays similar, do you think this may see Stewart go? Can't see Everton letting Simms come if he's not going to get a large amount of play time.
We could play him and Stewart togeather, it gives us options. Im sure Everton realises wherever they loan him to theyll always be competition and this will be part of his development to cement a starting spot
His u23 coach is quoted as saying... The 21-year-old has caught the eye in recent loan spells, after scoring 41 goals in 44 games for the Toffees’ U18 team. Everton U23s Assistant John Ebbrell previously lauded the young gem, saying: “What I do know with Ellis, if he ends up one-vs-one with the goalkeeper, he’s scoring. “From experience, I know if you have time to think for that finish it can be difficult but Ellis is really calm and composed in those situations. He very rarely misses.”
Guess there’s a small chance both Simms and Broadhead are permanent and Everton have only agreed to help us with Broadheads wages if we give them their asking price for Simms
Born in Oldham, after playing for Blackburn Rovers and Manchester City, Simms signed for Everton at the age of 16, turning professional in 2019. He moved on loan to Blackpool in January 2021. He made his debut for Blackpool in the FA Cup as a substitute against Brighton & Hove Albion on 23 January 2021. In his second appearance and his league debut, again as a substitute, he scored his first professional goals when he scored twice in a 5-0 win over Wigan Athletic on 27 January 2021. International career Simms is eligible to play internationally for England, Poland and Jamaica. On 6 November 2020, he was called up to the England U20 squad for a training camp. The following week, he made his debut for England U20s, playing the second half of a friendly match against Aston Villa.
It don’t work like that mate, seen quite a lot of people saying the same thing tbh and it’s nuts, the best striker at the time will get picked!! Stewart has only been here one season and tbh scored less then Charlie wyke. Why does everyone think he’s irreplaceable?
