Yes I realise that, but if we hadn’t been warned beforehand we wouldn’t have had any money left to do anything. Our first day, crossing the road near the coliseum, a girl around 8 years old had her hand in my wife’s backpack.
In Crete at the moment in Hersonnosis, hired a car and went to Chania yesterday, very nice, can also recommend Koutolafari.
We were in Elounda area a couple of years ago. Got an early trip to Spinalonga Island after reading about it being used as a leper colony and found it absolutely amazing. We were about the first ones on the island that day. Well worth a trip if you've got time but would advise to get across early to avoid the more busier times.
Incredible place, mate. If you are interested in history, there is something to see around almost every corner. Colloseum, Vatican, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon etc. and the food is amazing. I'd go back just for the Gorgonzola Pizza
I’m just at Webb adventure land near York, with 5 kids and 3 women. Got to tell you the kids are really enjoying it… tip !! Don’t go down the wooden heltaskelta ( apologies for the spelling, even Google said what the **** is that ) takes a layer of skin off your arms…. Apart from that and a few arguments( adults not kids ) it’s been a really good day. Mind you some people should not dress themselves if out here is anything to go by lol.. Good day had by all !!!!!
Went today, unfortunately didn’t read your post until now. Very interesting place indeed, could have done without the scrum down to get on the boat back to Elounda though. Proper free for all.
