Good Morning. It's Monday 25th July, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Berisha wanted by Marsch Leeds have made a €2million (£1.7m) offer for Fenerbahce striker Mergim Berisha according to SPOR journalist Omer Celikbasli. The Whites only have two recognised goalscorers on their books (Bamford and Gelhardt), and whilst they continue in their quest for a top marquee signing, Marsch see's Berisha as a reliable squad player. The 24 yo played under Marsch at RB Salzburg, and as such knows his capabilities. He scored 22 goals and 13 assists from 56 appearances for the Austrian outfit. Stuttgart and Mainz are also interested in the German-born striker, but are also unwilling to meet Fenerbahce's valuation of €5m (£4.3m). please log in to view this image Kalimuendo loan move gathering pace Arnaud Kalimuendo may join Leeds on loan for the forthcoming season, with an option to buy, if successful. The 20yo marksman has been heavily linked with a move all Summer, but there seems to be a reluctance by Victor Orta to get the deal concluded. Obviously, Kalimuendo has talent in abundance, but is he ready for the Premier League? With Bamford still not fully fit, Leeds need someone who can hit the ground running, a big responsibility for someone so young! It is believed, should the loan move be successful, Leeds will pay PSG the £21m they are asking. please log in to view this image Leeds criticised for taking part in Aussie tour Leeds fans have heavily criticised the Elland Road hierarchy for taking part in the recent Pre-season tour of Australia. Luis Sinisterra and Adam Forshaw's respective injuries could see the duo miss the season's opener against Wolves, and many on social media are blaming the bumpy uneven pitches, the squad have had to play and train on, in the last two weeks. With less than a fortnight until the season kicks off, Leeds have a number of players either not fully fit, or are nursing niggles following their trip down under. Although better than this time last year, the squad have a lot of work to do before please log in to view this image Joffy set to pen new deal Joe Gelhardt is set to sign a new five-year contract at Elland Road, increasing his present salary by 56%. The 20yo made twenty appearances for the Whites last season, mainly as a substitute. During his 780 minutes of game time, he scored twice, and created two assists. Currently, Joffy earns £16,000 a week, but by putting pen to paper, he can guarantee himself £25,000 a week. please log in to view this image
Have Villa and Palace picked up the same amount of injuries, playing on those bumpy pitches, or are we just very unlucky, or even reckless, how we train? The striker situation really needs sorting, whoever it is, will hardly be ready for the Wolves game. Great news on Joffy, now we can get a better price for him.
Morning all from upper Swaledale here for three days of o sole mio.. Oh the peace and quiet is deafening. Stream next to me is moving faster than our striker search.
Morning all The Berisha thing is not a real thing, cant be. The kid did a good job for Marsch and scored goals but hes been pants since and lets be honest here even skint German clubs are saying hes too much money at €4m. Lets just let this story die. we need a top striker right now and everyone knows it. I’m peed off with Bamford who obviously isnt fit and guess what, Joffy hasnt had enough minutes in pre season because Marsch knows he will be needed to take up Bamfords role. Its another fk up
Cagliari game going to be the first time see what a Marsch team is going to look like excluding Cooper, Dallas, Sinisttera, Forshaw, Ayling and Firpo - yes 6 injured before season starts. Meslier Kristensen Llorente Koch Hjelde Roca Adams James Harrison Rodrigo Bamford
Morning all £2 million on a striker, wow talk about big spenders. How long left on his contact?. Tbh we could get the French kid on loan and pay £2 million on the German and I won't complain. £2 mill is nothing. How long Forshaw out for. If it's over half the season let's just get rid and bring somebody new in.
Good Morning from a cool Bardsey to Matt Doc WJ shako Ristac etc I thought thatdeadline day to sign CDK was yesterday it stirikes ne they have to put the foot down with this spoilt brat and ship him to leedsthe farce has gone on long enough,It reminds me when we tried to sign Duncan Ferguson from Dundee Unitedhe said he would only sign for Rangers who had offered 1m lessand that his pidgeons would not settle in Leeds .Who won after atleast 2months Rangers
We all agree we need a striker.....it could be worse villa player Wesley has joined Segundo side levante on loan for the coming season after spending last year in his native Brazil and also back at the club villa bought him from brugge in 2019, he played 26 times for villa notching 6.....for an outlay of 22 million..... bargain, we ain't the only one's to waste the moolah
Morning Leeds60. I was gutted we didn't sign Ferguson, he would have become a fans favourite IMO. I remember the pigeon story.
