I know a few used to go into the pub trade, but I think that’s a dying breed these days, on both sides unfortunately!

I would think coaching is the best bet given the number of staff most clubs seem to have.

Does this include tuition in the Countdown the Clock McShane special?...towel dry the ball, followed by towel dry your hair and only then throwing the ball in... it's a a work of art with cunning temporal deception.

As a matter of interest, any ideas what, say, an Hartlepool player would be on weekly? Not a mischievous question.

Ryan France is a financial planner. I think I read that he did his qualification while at Allfreton Town as it allowed him to play non league and do his degree. He had offers to turn pro but wanted an education first.

The average in League Two is about £1,000 a week.

Fair enough, what I meant is that the prospects probably appear dismal after 15 years or so doing a job they most likely dreamed of and liked a lot. If they've made proper plans good on them but I'd guess many don't and struggle.

It is better than when you could go in a pub and see John Charles, probably the best ever British player, serving behind the bar.

I'm doing fine, thanks. I lost the love of this board, but miss it. Life's a box...
I can see you're all doing okay and that's great. We don't always agree but we will always have our club in common.

I've lost touch, but anyone update me on Canada Tiger and our Blue Mountain friends?

Great to reconnect with the board. Much respect to those who make it possible. And Chazz. <cheers>
