I like 09 but your right he has been bad, honestly don’t know why we’re not playing Hume who I think is better than both 09 and gooch

Yep.. I really want Neil to come good...but not today...hardly on the ball and he isn't a great tackler

Accy have played it like it's a cup final. Suppose its been a canny workout for us, they will know they've been in a game. Might work in our favour rather than coasting to a 5 nowt win.

2-1 poor finishing cost us the game, but Alex Neils substitution strategy strangely has been poor so far, and I hope it has reached rock bottom in this game.
Coventry will be the real test, and its only one game away

It's a friendly...win 6-0 it means nowt, lose 2-1.. again it means nowt. I'll never understand the panic over them. I've seen countless pre seasons.

A little disappointed there. Decent half but poor finishing. Second half has been really poor. Poor subs and just lost all momentum.

    FT 2-1
We were much better for most of the first half - but those missed chances and 2 defensive mistakes cost us.

True that preseason friendly results mean nothing but it's the chance to get some momentum going before the real stuff starts so that we can hit the ground running rather than struggling for any kind of form

Good 50 - 60 mins then very poor, can't play like that in the championship.

He never looks like he thinks he can win the ball does he.

His balls into the box are forward looking I agree, but mostly poor today imo.

Enjoyed the first hour Horrendous last half hour. Need more up front and need a midfielder of Pritchards quality who can control the game Neil was a passenger last half hour. Overall a bit disappointed but it’s still pre season

It isn't just about fitness at this stage of pre-season. We look toothless upfront, we have enough players with creativity but desperate for another striker to give us different options upfront and release the burden from Stewart.

Thing is we’re not using our subs, last game only 1 and this game just the 2 when the other teams are changing their complete team. Problem is when our players are tireing they’re having to play against 2 fresh teams. As you say this might work in our favour but we should’ve had that game wrapped up in the first half, it’s what’s worrying me the lack of goal scorers

On loan from Burnley U-23's. Tranfermarket puts his market value at $55k.

Decent ish first half I thought, but taking chances was garbage. I thought some of the decision making wasnt great in the final 3rd. Second half was a shocker all round really. Two individual mistakes which we couldnt have predicted, but even those aside we went to pieces really. Passing was crap, movement from the front 4 was non existent, full backs were too passive. Everyone just forgot how to play - get it down and move it - too many trying one touch too many, and if I am brutally honest too selfish. Roberts summed that up at the end when he beat his man and had Neil open for a simple pass but instead tried to dribble through 2 or 3 players himself. I would bet Alex is having a few words with them all now.

I still trust this squad so no ruining my evening. Bit of hard work on the training pitch this week wont hurt them. Chance for the likes of Baath and Hume to play their way into the first team for next week too.
