I know that but he’s still a Hull lad.

He kept us up last season, and we're still in the early days of pre season of this one. I think he deserves a good while yet.

I think improvement will be expected - investment comes with expectation, but it's ridiculous to be calling for his head.

It’s mental to be doing so. I get the uncertainty but the teams in transition. If we have any success I believe it’ll begin properly after first international break. Hopefully see some more risks taken at the weekend

I don't like how it's so normal now for a manager's job to be in doubt by default. People are talking about how long Shota gets in the event that his new team struggles, before it's even happened. Mental.

After last season I don’t have much faith in Shota, I like him, like Slutsky, I hope so much I’m wrong & he knows what he’s doing, but I won’t be surprised if we’re bottom or bottom 3 by the start of October.
If that’s the case, that’s 11 games gone, a quarter of the season, can anyone see him survive if that’s the case?
As I say, I hope he & the team prove me very wrong!

We have a tough run mid-August thru September at a time when a new squad is gelling.
A more realistic checkpoint would be mid Nov when the international break starts.
I would be absolutely gob smacked if we were anywhere near the bottom by then.
I really don't get all this negativity (or whatever you want to call it) - not just Brucebones but from quite a few. It's bizarre.

I think we should probably wait to see what the final squad is and watch at least one competitive game, before deciding we're going to be in the bottom three ffs.

Just my thoughts & lack of faith in the manager after last season. He played a system & set up the team similar to how McCann did, everyone was saying he had no option, because the players were so ****, they couldn’t play in any other way, but once he gets his own players in, he’ll play differently & have options to move players & formations round.
However all I’m reading is, we’ve brought in loads of players to play a different formation, yet still play the same one, & failing, also we still need at least half a team, with 1 week to go.
If we’re waiting until November, when the WC starts, that’s 21 games gone! I would seriously hope we won’t be down the bottom by then, but if we are, we’ll be in deep ****!

Id be very happy if we lined up like we did against Leicester against teams who will be expecting to beat us. Hit them on the counter and defend compact. If we do it against teams who we expect to beat though I won’t be impressed as I want us to be an entertaining team.

Shota needs a chance, we stayed up which was the target. He didn’t have the players to play the way he wanted, the players he had were l1 standard.
He’s been backed in the transfer market but who actually knows if these players will adjust to the championship and how quickly. Seri knows the league so he’ll be ok, tufan is an international so once he sorts his fitness out he should be ok. The rest are open to debate, even if they adjust and perform there’s no evidence they are good enough to get us promoted.
So I think if shota gets us in the top 10 that’s a good season
