I think you will see us play a higher back line once we get all the players in and settled. That in turn pushes the midfield high up the pitch, where they can have an effect on the game at the sharp end. Against Lesta, we were pushed back to deep, which then leaves us passing the ball around our back line, but against Championship sides, I am sure we will see a more effective midfield and forward line because of the above.
It's a big one for Brentford, yeah. Don't think anyone is panicking too much about the result, but the way we set up to play was a cause for concern given the weaknesses in the squad last season still seem to be evident despite bringing in more attacking quality. Nobody is reading too much into friendlies though.
City needs talented energetic b2b ımo then problems solved. Ozan and Seri they are not energetic and tackling and high pressure against opponent isnt their attribute Nwakaeme will be great addition to the squad. He is dribling magician very talented. His age isnt that ımportant because his dribling ability isnt based on his pace he can pass opponent by walking Last year he played great against Roma also. Dogukan,Nwakaeme both are good addition for attack. Im confident about transfers but ım not sure about Shota. Time will tell.
After Sinik, Tetteh and possibly Pelkas, I’d be amazed if we aren’t in for another right-back and a defensive midfielder. It’s the two areas that are more of a priority than signing another winger like Nwakaeme.
Some of the one touch football last night was incredible. The pressing was really good in patches. Forget the result it’s not important. What is important is getting the likely starting 11 ready for the first game of the season. That away kit though
yes but I am also guessing that we did have a shot on goal. Yes pre season and all that but let’s have at least the creation of a shot on goal.
Cant imagine it will be Pelkas and Nwakaeme. One or the other, otherwise we're overloaded with wide forwards. Definitely need a ball winner in midfield to get the best from Seri and Tufan and there would definitely be room for increased competition at RB as I'm far from confident in relation to Emmanuel's fitness.
Allahyar, Longman, Sinik, Williams, not to mention Wilks, Scott and a few academy players who could be given a chance. As of right now, we’ve lost KLP and replaced him with Sinik. If we really need another one, we can loan one from a PL club. Pelkas, if he signs, can also play there. Wingers shouldn’t really be the priority right now. There are far more important areas we should prioritise as a lack of a good right-back and physical, ball-winning midfielder will bite us on the arse, I’m sure.
I’d prefer Pelkas as he can also play as a number 10. Nwakaeme might be good but for the high wage he’d likely command and his age, Pelkas seems the better value of the two.
100% this. Id love Ndayishime as he covers centre back too. Big unit can play and wins the ball back very well. Add Pelkas to it and give Randy Williams a run of games as I think his dynamism makes him more dangerous as Coyle.
Cant say I see Williams as the answer at WB. Great going forward but you've got to defend equally well in that position and I don't see that in him.
