It was shocking. Hopefully it'll serve to illustrate to Seri that in English football you simply cannot dwell on the ball like that. If it's driven that point home then it's a goal worth conceding.
Maybe you guys are a bit too harsh on Seri. Ultimately it was his fault, but team needs to spread out better and look to receive passes. Nobody wants the ball.
He's been playing in England past few seasons!! Unfortunately, like McLoughlin, just seems to have it in him for some reason
He had at least ,3 options to pass to!! One minute plays a sublime pass in attack, next minute does that. (edit, make that 4 with keeper)
It's obvious that Shota is getting us to play football, there's definitely a case of trying to work each other out here, and a little bit disjointed at times, but there's lots of good passing up to the final third going on, just need to get some sharpness in there and understanding of the players around them and I think we'll fly.
Well yeah, that possession was definitely a blunder. But I'm saying in general midfield has limited options, there's no playmaker. Tufan is not match fit, he's just walking up and down the pitch. He needs to spend more time with the ball to lift some pressure off of Seri.
We're playing really, really well. Yeah Seri made a mistake but this is what pre season is for. I'd give my right nut to have seen us play half that well last season. We're playing at twice the intensity we did before, we just need to be braver getting towards their goal, but can't really grumble against an established Premier League team.
Thought McLoughlin had an excellent half. Pleased to see the way we are attempting to play, would like to see a bit more speed and bravery in our forward passes, balls in to Tufan and Ally when he drops deep but seems some players want to play too safe. Oscar does look a handful, I saw a Portuguese fan describe him as a bit of a Lukaku which seems quite accurate, he will 100% cause problems but we just need to accept the touch sometimes isn't there.
Oscar looks to be an absolute unit! Team couldn't create any chances for him to shine yet, but twice now (once this game, and I think he did something similar against malaga) he stole the ball out of nowhere by just applying pressure and getting physical with the defender.
