He isnt good enough, I always love seeing youngsters break through but he is nowhere near Championship standard.
Well that was bizarre. Apart from minutes in legs I'm struggling to work out what the point of that was. Very much a second string team playing a fairly experimental system. Then proceed to pretty much stick with it and run them into the ground for 90 mins. Only one change. At least it highlighted our complete lack of forward options. Never mind I'm sure there's method in the madness. Onwards and upwards.
For those saying we shouldn't risk a move for Broadhead, I reckon he scores at least 2 of the chances we created tonight. That's why strikers come at a premium.
It was hard to tell where O’Nien was supposed to be playing and I didn’t think many of his colleagues did either . I don’t think we are at the level where you can put out a scratch team and they will know what is expected of them . We lacked leadership and guidance which tends to come from the midfield area which was disappointing as we had a number of experienced players in the side . All in all a very disappointing display far removed from what we have become accustomed to since Alex Neil arrived at the club I don’t think he will be at all happy with most of the team’s performance tonight .
You answered your own question as that's exactly what it's all about. Minutes in legs and protecting players. These players only finished the season 8 weeks ago. They'll be still getting over Wembley imo...I know i am.
His interview is exactly what we want to see from a Sunderland manager. Often we've had blokes in charge who don't know what the problem is, or are happy to ignore it.
£7.50 to watch or should i say watch about 20 mins of that stream, that's it for me no more streams after that.
Nothing more than a training exercise to gain fitness, I never put anything in to these ore season games, they mean nothing other than get up to speed. No one wants to get injured 10 days before the start of the campaign. As many have said, at best this will give AN an idea of how strong his squad actually is and how potential formations work, but i'm betting he doesn't give a toss about the result
A.N. is talking like he already knows the team against Bradford are the lads on the bench. Which to be fair is reassuring that he isn’t struggling with who to pick.
Danny Batth is probably the only player in that team last night, injury permitting, who will be even considered for the starting eleven against Coventry. AN is having a good look at the players available, and any other conclusion after that show last night would be puzzling,
Still think clarke or embleton will start against Coventry instead of dajaku. I agree itll be baath or Wright alongside Ballard and the rest of the team will be the team that played Dundee United
