Antonio Vitiello claims negotiations to loan Tanganga to Milan are proceeding nicely, with Paolo Maldini personally identifying him as a player their backline needs Given he's the Milanese equivalent of Dan KP, probably safe to assume he'll be announced by the weekend
Feels like it. Wouldn’t even be surprised if he’s been training with Lenglet and others the last day or two.
Bulletpoints - Paratici meeting Milan on Thursday over Tanganga's loan - May also be testing the waters with Sampdoria over a Gil loan - Zaniolo...
We've reportedly blocked Lo Celso's move to Fiorentina due to the offer not being good enough Ball's back in your court Villarreal/Sevilla/Betis
It does say a lot that our third-choice RCB is likely going to be joining the reigning Serie A champions after being picked out by Paolo Maldini, while our record signing isn't even getting interest from Turkish sources...
Not quite satisfied yet a few key positions still need filling with quality this summer imo so far 7.1/10
8.5 so far for me. If we nab a creative mid and bin off those not needed I’d say pretty much a perfect window. Can then see in January if there’s anything else to improve on.
I’ve not seen much of Spence. What have we got ourselves here? I keep seeing conflicting reports, with many Boro fans saying he’s bang average and will struggle in the prem. Are we hoping for a Kyle Walker, but gonna end up with a Kyle Naughton?
English Cafu, mate. I do actually think he’s a bit like Walker though, not as lighting quick (who is?) but much faster than our current two, takes on opposition FBs and prefers to low drill cross them just as Walker did, he can’t do those pinpoint ones like Tripps could though. Boro made Isaiah Jones their first choice and looked like he done really well so it don’t feel like they’ll miss Spence, especially as they’re pocketing an initial £12.5m for essentially their second choice RWB. Spence got Championship TOTY though and I’ve banged Steve Cooper’s drum for a while, he knows a baller when he sees one and got Spence and Johnson to strike up a class partnership down that right flank, hopefully in time Spence can do similar with Kulu.
